We Agree - Paul, Baldwin, McKinney, Nader Statement

From the C4L site

The Republican/Democrat duopoly has, for far too long, ignored the most important issues facing our nation. However, alternate candidates Chuck Baldwin, Cynthia McKinney, and Ralph Nader agree with Ron Paul on four key principles central to the health of our nation. These principles should be key in the considerations of every voter this November and in every election.

We Agree

Foreign Policy: The Iraq War must end as quickly as possible with removal of all our soldiers from the region. We must initiate the return of our soldiers from around the world, including Korea, Japan, Europe and the entire Middle East. We must cease the war propaganda, threats of a blockade and plans for attacks on Iran, nor should we re-ignite the cold war with Russia over Georgia. We must be willing to talk to all countries and offer friendship and trade and travel to all who are willing. We must take off the table the threat of a nuclear first strike against all nations.

Privacy: We must protect the privacy and civil liberties of all persons under US jurisdiction. We must repeal or radically change the Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act, and the FISA legislation. We must reject the notion and practice of torture, eliminations of habeas corpus, secret tribunals, and secret prisons. We must deny immunity for corporations that spy willingly on the people for the benefit of the government. We must reject the unitary presidency, the illegal use of signing statements and excessive use of executive orders.

The National Debt: We believe that there should be no increase in the national debt. The burden of debt placed on the next generation is unjust and already threatening our economy and the value of our dollar. We must pay our bills as we go along and not unfairly place this burden on a future generation.

The Federal Reserve: We seek a thorough investigation, evaluation and audit of the Federal Reserve System and its cozy relationships with the banking, corporate, and other financial institutions. The arbitrary power to create money and credit out of thin air behind closed doors for the benefit of commercial interests must be ended. There should be no taxpayer bailouts of corporations and no corporate subsidies. Corporations should be aggressively prosecuted for their crimes and frauds.

Um, give a little get a little?

Can't some of them just step down so all of us from all third parties and independents can throw support toward one candidate? This is our only chance...and by being so fractured we will lose it. I would be willing to vote green, or any of these 3 if the other 2 stepped down. We need to make a big push, and not be relegated to the trash bin of history.

Support CM

My support for CM (now) is just cynical...plus I have some respect for her courage and the green ideals.

Cynicism: she has everything that matters most this election. She's black like Obama, and she's female like McCain.

What could be better than a black female with independent courage?

Is that it??

Where are the words that are so simple to put into place. Re-instate the Constitutional Republic, abolish the FED ( they already know what it is about, why inspect it) , abolish the IRS ( same scenerio), stop NAFTA, repeal Patriot Act ( not alter, since it is unconstitutional, period), US Treasury to create metal based currency. There is a whole lot missing in this agreement to get any support from me. Ron Pauls platform is sorely missing in this if this is all there is. If the fundamentas listed here are not part of it we will be right back to square one. Do they need us to take 10 minutes and write it up?

Take 10 minutes and write it up, please !

Deerefly sez, Victory has a good idea here!
And his " wish list" looks great to me ! Basics !
He, and anyone else who agrees, could goto ( www dot fusionassembly dot org ) and post your "wish list" there after looking around some.
or just email it to ( info at fusionassembly dot org ) . Also, copy in DailyPaul, Campaign For Liberty, CP, GP, IP, and LP.
Remember, we are not all likely to agree on everything on every one else's wish list, but we are already agreed that Obamination and McSame are NOT getting our votes. So, let's work up from there.
Also, expect the trolls to attempt to infiltrate and dismember us.
Michael could moderate them off, but this way we leave them free to be the a--holes they are and identify themselves too - maybe for later actions. Isn' t that what their handlers plan for some of us? So, what's good for the goose will also fit around the neck of the gander ( Read about Queen Esther and how Mordecai escaped the gallows and Haman got his neck stretched instead. What goes around, comes around ! )

Not a wish list

A demand list
A Grassroots Revolution Manifesto to be agreeded to by written signature to any candidate that wants our support. Asking too much? Not at all because this is what was the foundation that our country had originally and was subverted, the platform that Ron Paul ran on, and the principals that the grassroot movements fire spread from. Anything less at this point would not make the necessary changes in time.

1. A full return to the Constitutional Republic and all that implies ( maybe
a disolvement of all parties and a simple voting system of a person, not
a party).
2. A complete dismantlement of the present electronic voting system to
be replaced by a secure paper ballot system).
3. Bring all of our troops home immediately
4. No further foreign intervention
5. War by declaration and voted by Congress only
6. Abolish the FED
7. Abolish the IRS
8. Treasury of the US to print currency backed by precious metals
9. Repeal the Patriot Act, FISA, Homeland Security, FEMA, NAFTA and
any act, legistlature, group that is unconstitutional.
10. Secure our borders
11. Hold investigations of any suspected criminal activity that has taken
place within our governement at any level and hold those people
completely accountable within our existing law.
12.Dismantle the existing CORPORATE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
and all departments and offices under it.

This didn't even take 10 minutes to write actually.
I think I understand the Independent party candidates agreed upon points
was intended for the sleeping masses who thought they only had the 2 parties, but for us that know the whole picture we must know that those
agreed upon points are far from what our Revolution wants changed.
Let anyone and everyone, all parties, all candidates drop all of the labels and ego posturing and pull together and merge if they are sincere about really turning our country around in time.

To those that think this won't, can't , no way, no how happen and it is totally fantasy to even ask for. Maybe it is but how do we know unless we go for it. I was under the impression that all of the above was what the Ron Paul Revolution was about not settling for a vote that will never get counted. Any candidate that wants support from a Ron Paul supporter should have no trouble agreeing on the platform that he ran on, right?

Note about McKinney and Federal Reserve

She does want to abolish it. Rather, she wants to fully "nationalize" it.
The complete wrong way to go about it...

At least now it is partly private...

We do want to "nationalize"

We do want to "nationalize" it. That what is says in the Constitution. The Congress will have the power to coin money.

Unless, she has some other plan rather than reverting to the Constitution.

Umm, that is not Ron Paul's position

he is for free-market money and free-banking.

Re: "the power to coin money", I'm sure Ron favors a constitutional amendment on that.

atrickpay, you're fulla crap

There's nothing wrong with Congress COINing money.

COIN.

Did you misread the word COIN? We've been hypnotized for decades into seeing something other than COIN in that section of the Constitution, but COIN is what is actually written there.

:-)

(BTW, I'm capitalizing it purely to draw the eye to it. I'm not an agent of the Queen of England or the Rothschilds, nor am I trying to sucker anyone into an invisible adhesion contract or a non-allodial title of nobility.)

What is begun in anger, ends in shame.

Haha, let me guess...

you don't have a problem with the government delivering the mail either?

ps. where are the bureaucrats going to get the funds to coin money? Don' tell me stealing (ie. taxation)...

exactly why should the control of the nations money supply

be private, or in the hands of essentially one unelected, but appointed by another single man (the president), person? Lets take it out of the political process and give it to one man? A thoroughly undemocratic, unconstitutional idea for such an important role.

I think we need to remember that being "private" does not necessarily mean subject to the free market...in this case, its incredible power in fewer unaccountable hands. The current financial disaster is a direct result of noone sensibly regulating the financial markets and giving Wall Street a blank check...on your account.

The Fed is unaccountable as currently setup, but abolishing it simply isnt gonna happen in one fell swoop. So, an ally is an ally. Perhaps its now the Evolution!

Yes, "private" does not necessarily mean

subject to the free-market. That's why I said "partly private."

But is it?

the ownership of the fed is a mystery, but we know that the US govt does not have an interest. It is private and secret...and operated for the benefit of the major financial institutions which may very well own it, for all we know.

Whatever...

The problem is that that Cynthia McKinney is for socialized money and banking.

so youd rather have the economy regulated by and for

a small group of secret actors (in the name of public welfare without any "market" accountability for their actions), as it is today. Its a defendable (though hardly impervious) position, without just calling a name and sayin' whatever.

She's for far more than that -- I read her platform and vomited.

Ron Paul "Sign Wave Across the USA" -- November 5th!

if "socialized" finance can be thought of

as "regulated" finance, I think we come closer to more effective thinking, less dogmatic thinking. Unregulated finance that is too big to fail has been a disaster.

What are you talking about?

When have we ever had "unregulated finance"? So, if it hasn't existed, how can it justly be called a "failure"?

ps. I agree that "regulated" is probably the better adjective for banking (I don't think she supports socialized banks). However afaik, Cynthia is a supporter of socialized money.

the investment banks

were purposefully put outside the Fed ring and their activities and those of other large financial entities have been afforded much less oversight than banks.

What about the borders ?

Don't Forget

In my assessment electronic voting machines are already programmed to elect McCain/Palin in November. Can't you see through the sherade yet?

This presential "election" is a show, an entertainment mechanism, pre-ordained, orchestrated. Not saying its hopeless or anything of that nature to support this but I'm afraid that this is just another case of all sound and fury signifying nothing.

Just watch the MSM news, its mindless dribble, there is absolutely nothing intellectually stimulating about it whatsoever. Its all just knee jerk banter and brainwashing miring the citizenry into dualistic thinking. There doesn't need to be a third party, there needs to be no parties at all.

"Sending messages"

I think this was a bold move (although few will likely hear about it thanks to the MSM) and definitely inspiring, but to be honest I'm sick of the whole "let's do this to send a message" thing. I agree wholeheartedly with some of the other posters, that if these people really wanted change and to beat the system they would unite under one banner rather than 4.

It's sad that these 4 key issues are so crucial to the country but not the voters. Everyone wants to bicker about social issues while the foundation of the US erodes away.

This time it's not to the politicians.

This time the votes are not a message to the politicians. They're a message to the people: Third party votes are not wasted.

Get enough of them and you have a Schelling Point at the next presidential election: The "wasted vote" meme is broken in the people's minds. A thrid party candidate can get enough votes to win and they know it - so they might just do it.

That means: For each job "created or saved" about five were destroyed.

No major media outlet is reporting the events...

Should we really have expected anything different considering all of the media outlets only want a two horse race?

Finally...

It's about time!

Unification is the key.

The slogan press on has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave.

- Calvin Coolidge

What Does This Mean?

This is great that the third party candidates can agree on 4 core issues, but unless this is plastered all over the MSM, I don't see it convincing many more people to vote 3P than there already is. Two things need to happen in order for this to make a great impact. One, if these parties believe truly in these core issues and that the time is NOW to bring them forefront to the American people, then a unified party needs to be created, if it is indeed possible this late in the game. This also includes the largest third party, the Libertarian Party. Only that kind of action would wake up the networks. Second, a person who has proven to unite people from all of these parties needs to run on that ticket. That is Ron Paul. Only then do we have a shot at the 15% needed in order to qualify for the debates. Otherwise, we undermine our efforts by being divided. If the third parties get 1%, 3% or even 5% alone, that can easily be swept under the rug by the MSM and ignored.
This is great news, don't get me wrong, but it's just a foundation to build on for the future. This election cycle is done. We should take this as a testament that we share more important core issues with other third party supporters and gather strength from each other and move on. We have a long four years ahead of us to focus on.
That's how I see it, anyway. What are your thoughts?

I agree, unless we all unite under one candidate

there will be little impact and we will go to helena Handbasket quite quickly.

I'm a little underwhelmed

I don't know that this is unprecedented as they called it. I was hoping they'd sponsor a debate with all the candidates, find a x`way to get Obama and McCain at the table, and ask real questions.

If I remember right...

they were invited and turned it down, which doesn't supprise me at all.

"There are only two ways to conquer and enslave a nation. One is by sword, the other is by debt." - John Adams

Of course neocon Barr is missing!!

The Libertarian party has been for some years now slyly connected to the neocon machine, simply as a distraction! Their people are in the magazine, and wielded influence not only there but in the RP Campaign. Who knows, maybe Paul called his bluff and as such outed his insincerity... but...

BUT, having said that, remember that though this is real life of the nation, freedom and liberty at stake, it can still be likened to a giant CHESS game! This is only the middle game, where the players are out of their book openings, and into that misty area of visualizing many plys deep, prior to the end-game! As such you will see yet, more brilliant moves, to include the Barr party, which can have the power to coalesce, to crush, and to check-mate any neocon opposition. Be ready for the endgame!

To accomplish the following, one must prepare the moves well ahead of time! So, be prepared for the BIG substitution of Ron Paul into each of these parties on the ballot!!

Who knows... it just might happen, and the 60% majority will have a real strong ticket, with only one name to check on the ballot! :)
