We Agree - Paul, Baldwin, McKinney, Nader Statement

From the C4L site

The Republican/Democrat duopoly has, for far too long, ignored the most important issues facing our nation. However, alternate candidates Chuck Baldwin, Cynthia McKinney, and Ralph Nader agree with Ron Paul on four key principles central to the health of our nation. These principles should be key in the considerations of every voter this November and in every election.

We Agree

Foreign Policy: The Iraq War must end as quickly as possible with removal of all our soldiers from the region. We must initiate the return of our soldiers from around the world, including Korea, Japan, Europe and the entire Middle East. We must cease the war propaganda, threats of a blockade and plans for attacks on Iran, nor should we re-ignite the cold war with Russia over Georgia. We must be willing to talk to all countries and offer friendship and trade and travel to all who are willing. We must take off the table the threat of a nuclear first strike against all nations.

Privacy: We must protect the privacy and civil liberties of all persons under US jurisdiction. We must repeal or radically change the Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act, and the FISA legislation. We must reject the notion and practice of torture, eliminations of habeas corpus, secret tribunals, and secret prisons. We must deny immunity for corporations that spy willingly on the people for the benefit of the government. We must reject the unitary presidency, the illegal use of signing statements and excessive use of executive orders.

The National Debt: We believe that there should be no increase in the national debt. The burden of debt placed on the next generation is unjust and already threatening our economy and the value of our dollar. We must pay our bills as we go along and not unfairly place this burden on a future generation.

The Federal Reserve: We seek a thorough investigation, evaluation and audit of the Federal Reserve System and its cozy relationships with the banking, corporate, and other financial institutions. The arbitrary power to create money and credit out of thin air behind closed doors for the benefit of commercial interests must be ended. There should be no taxpayer bailouts of corporations and no corporate subsidies. Corporations should be aggressively prosecuted for their crimes and frauds.

McKinney and Nader are SOCIALISTS

Just because they're third party doesn't mean they're any better than the Democrat and Republican nominees.

You missed the point of this

You missed the point of this conference entirely. The point of it was to encourage people to seek out a candidate that best matches your beliefs and support them, whether you lean libertarian OR socialist. While most Daily Paulers hold views that are the polar opposite of the Socialists, we share the same frustration that the two parties don't adequately represent our views.

The issue is rule of law

Even some socialists "get it."

they are better because they believe

in the 4 points listed above. To me these points are so important that they outweigh other things.

If their economics are not to your taste - as they are not to mine, you can either vote Baldwin, or find another alternative, or write in Ron Paul.

So you believe words?

But not actions?

You'll never get me to pull a lever for Baldwin or anybody affiliated with the CP. I don't want Jehovah's groundpounders running this country as a pseudo theocracy.

My state, as many others, does not have a write-in option, i.e. that idea is moot.

I'm teasing with the idea of voting for Barr, but will probably end up not voting for the POTUS race in November.

Then Vote

For McCain you damned complainer!

You'll get what you deserve!

if you knew anything about ralph nader

then you would know that he isn't just words

I do know about Ralph Nader

And his positions during his menagerie of campaigns just reeks of socialism.

as do the continued bailouts

of the financial elites by a republican administration. Be a good lapdog of the party while they do what you decry.

I wonder

if Barr is on an ego trip and only willing to sign if Ron Paul would specifically endorse him.

This is more sinister than

This is more sinister than an ego trip. Don't trust Barr under any circumstances.

So can we all see now

Barr is destroying the 3rd party by not uniting with the others? Why didn't libertarians go with someone who isn't a turncoat stooge?

I think Barr is a fucking

I think Barr is a fucking spook. Ruwart is light years beyond that guy, but oh no, gotta get more publicity so let's get the politician that was despicable until only recently. . .gee, wonder why that is??? I'm not paranoid, I just know what I would do if on that side of the fence.

Ruwart would have put the 3rd party over the top. America is hungering for something different-look at our current presidential candidate.

Woe to the Libertarian Party. Barr will be the end of your time.

some of you are missing the point

This goes much further than the November election. This is about
the Revolution we have started. The more people we have who
agree on these four points add to our numbers.
