Congratulations to the RNC...

Congratulations to the RNC on their victory. They have effectively divided and conquered the Ron Paul supporters and made it look easy. It took twenty years for this movement to educate enough people to see it culminate into the movement we see today but it is still not enough. At its current rate it will be another ten or twenty years before it grows and permeates enough minds to really have a chance to effect change. However we may not have that kind of time to wait. Our only hope is the coming storms might wake up enough people for us to effect real change but we might not like the change that brings.

First let me say to all the brave patriots who have worked their tails off, became PCP’s delegates, and ran for office etc. etc., who did all they could thank you and God bless you for all you have done and will do for freedom! Your hard work and sacrifices have not gone unnoticed!

Now let’s get down to the bottom line. It’s not all the RNC’s fault we got our asses handed to us, it’s mostly our fault. We had about 1.2 million people vote for Ron Paul in the primaries, however if I remember correctly we had about 18000 precinct leaders. That’s less then 2 percent of supporters who were willing to do more then vote, wave a sign and donate a few dollars. And people wonder why we got our asses handed to us.

It’s simple math we simply do not have enough people willing to do the hard work it takes to really effect change. Anyone who was involved in a meetup group who worked their tails off knows that only a few did the heavy lifting while the rest were mostly just along for the ride. You know who you are.

Now many of these same people are the ones bailing out and claiming we should go to a 3rd party or start a new party. I would have no problem doing something like that if I thought people would focus and unite and do the work it takes. However why in the world should we have any confidence in that working when the vast majority of Ron Paul supporters failed to step up in our hour of need?

That’s right it’s our fault and specifically the fault of those who did not step up when they knew they should. They left it to others and many are now giving a myriad of excuses and blaming it all on the RNC corruption etc when the majority of the blame lies with their failure to do what they knew they should have done. Sadly some who did the hard work are buying into this also.

Also to those who are leaving the Republican Party on principle; I guess you feel Ron Paul has compromised his principles? Since he of course knows we do not have the numbers needed to effect change outside the party he saw our only chance with the few activist who did step up was to work inside the party taking over key positions locally and then eventually on a national level.

Yet I hear a symphony of voices claiming they know a better way. Well you have no credibility because you could not be counted on when the going got tough. If you have a better way why are you not setting the example and doing something about it instead of just talking about it on the internet?

We also have those waiting around for a hot or physical revolution. Believe me I understand that sentiment however you are completely naive and clueless to have any desire for that. As the old saying goes be careful what you wish for you just might get it.

It might come down to that some day however it should be an absolute last resort. It will not be the romantic ideal many have of fighting for freedom. It will be the worst nightmare this country has ever seen and will make us more vulnerable then ever to outside attack or even an internal dictatorship. There is no guarantee we would win.

Just ask any combat vet who has seen a war torn country if he thinks a civil war is a good idea? I also have my doubts that enough people will step up if it ever comes to that. I know there are some who will but again I have my doubts as to whether it will be enough. People can talk of taking up arms but that can’t get their asses to a central committee meeting because it is to unpleasant for them….Sigh give me a break!

I am now wondering why I should waste my time anymore when not enough people will step up and do the hard work it will take. I will continue to try and educate but I will probably spend more time preparing for the inevitable. I hope I am wrong but until I see some real unity and willingness to step up by more people I have to put my time were it is most effective.

I am sure I’ll get flamed for this post however I bet it will be mostly those who are stung by it because it hit home and they know it. Flame away but please don’t “tell” me how we can do it. “Show” me you have credibility with your track record and your current action… Oh and show me how we overcome our lack of numbers willing to do the hard work?

It is what it is, hawkiye

I would like to speak to what you said here:

"I am sure I’ll get flamed for this post however I bet it will be mostly those who are stung by it because it hit home and they know it. 'Guilting' people will do you or this movement any good.

Given the financial pressures most of us working people are under these days to pay, pay and pay, keep us all on that hamster wheel. There is only so much physical, mental and emotional energy to go around. A lot of us in the movement have families with children to raise and look after whats important to them all the while doing 'battle' with the forces that take and the forces that can help build.

We each have done the best we could and we do have to pace our energies or we come down ill. So, be careful about pointing fingers there, bud.

I was as active as I could be within the scope of my private realm. The loss of friendships over this, the ridicule, the mind control, pay bills, and a husband at odds with me over this until only recently, and two teens! The mere fact that I even made it as State delegate is a kind of 'miracle' to me. If I have experienced this, I am sure thousands of others have stories too. The important thing is we each did something that matters.

But the reality is, even if we had three times the supporters out there, all across the State conventions were patterns of abuse by RNC. Either the convention would shut down because of majority of Paulites or THE BALLOTS WERE PRE-PRINTED with only their globalist traitors on it. If you wrote in a name it was disqualified. They got 2/3 vote to support that too. That is where it really counted was with the delegates.

Our national delegates were illegally searched and all their Ron Paul buttons, books, even an antique 13 colonies flag were confiscated! Their votes were disrespected by RNC controllers and not read out loud on row call.

This is one of the very reasons why three independent party leaders joined Ron Paul in exposing these issues at the National Press Club earlier today.

No, hawkiye, you don't get to do this number on all the very BEAUTIFUL souls that came forward in their own time, on their own terms. Uh uh, you don't get away with that.

Dr. Paul, despite his age, did not work so hard to inspire people to wake up only to be told their not working hard enough by persons who attach ego to their giving! Don't you dare do that!

Every single person who took a stand with Dr. Paul in any way is blessed with vision and foresight that is needed more than ever now and in the days ahead.

You see dear, the real traitors and the ones who really didn't pull their 'weight', were all those who currently stand with the Dems or Repubs and will not be persuaded.

They may not even realize what pawns they are, but the mind control is like a mental velcro. They either wake up or they don't. Well they haven't yet. So be it.

Those are the ones you need to take your issues to. They are the ones who failed to be vigilant!

Are you sure your anger and frustration isn't misdirected toward the wrong people? In the kind of movement that is ours, I think you have to be very careful about those sentiments.

I understand your frustration, but instead, we may have a greater opportunity right now to count our blessings for all the people WHO GOT IT despite the horrendous forces against our message.

If you did what you say you

If you did what you say you have no reason to be upset at my post you are one of the ones I thanked!

I am not doing this to those who came forward? Why are some of you who did do this work acting like I am talking to you? Read the post again more carefully. I am talking to those "WHO DID NOT COME FORWARD" WHEN THE REST OF US WITH KIDS JOBS MORTGAGES , ETC. AND LITTLE TIME DID IT ANYWAY?

They wasted yours and my time because they were not there when we needed them. Out of million plus we had a few thousand doing all the work. That is the reality and until that changes we will not effect much if any change.

Good comment Anisha

Thank you Dr. Paul for making my act on what I already knew was right.

*May the only ones to touch your junk, be the ones you want to touch your junk.*

hawkiye post

I 'll give you MY version & /or food for thought. I & my brother, yesterday came from a McCAIN rally @ LANC CO PA. I was not allowed a small hand made sign inside. CONTROL , CONTROL ,CONTROL. Typical LANC CO PA., REBPUBLICAN attitude. My sign simply read: RON PAUL / sec. treas. I like PAUL's finance policies.
REPUBLICAN Attitude that extends into daily life; here, that is RUN by the Republicans, in this CO., who have the majority. The staged area of students & supporters, who some how beat me & my brother to sit down seating , infront of the COUNTRY FIRST BANNER, was full of homemade signs. My brother & I are both VETs.. MOST of the people running things never served & are against military service. They clap for McCAIN though.
CONTROL is what the REPUBLICAN PARTY has become. The Constitution be DAMNED in their eyes. Of course they are all very religious, as I too claim to be. The Justices' in the CO. don't give a crap about a fair shake for the little guy. They run rampent on the Constitution & support ONLY the CODES & REGULATIONS of GOV'T councils. The average person has NO mediator. ONE has to hire a lawyer & spend hard earned money to defend against this form of CONTROL.
So, now I am left with (another) bad taste in my mouth from this treatment & double standard. I contribute to several Republican Committees for years, even though I changed Parties,U for this reason. I see this REPUBLICAN ATTITUDE still exists & I am READY for a third party ,as I can get NO satisfaction were ever I have turned to. CASE CLOSED.

I wonder...

How many precinct leaders did McCain have?

Very Few...

He didn't need them, because instead he advertised, he campaigned (personally), and he kept taking advantage of every Press opportunity and "making" news... and in the end, he just "outlasted" everyone else.

The others (one by one) all dropped out or fell away.

Ron Paul essentially went AWOL from campaigning and advertising *before* Iowa and New Hampshire... and other than Texas, did virtually nothing after that either.

You got it wrong

Stop blaming Ron Paul, he campaigned since how many decades already and that has NOT stopped.
McCain was the media darling and received free coverage and some party leaders in the GOP practically decided in January that McCain is to be the nominee, as they thought he had the best chance against Clinton, e.g. the furthest from Bush (apart from Paul). Romney wanted to campaign till the end, but was forced to concede. They did not want brokered convention.

The puppetmasters annointed Mcsane, that`s what we

HYDROMAN
are fighting against.

It is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people that pay no price for being wrong.
Thomas Sowell

Ron Paul did plenty. Stop

Ron Paul did plenty.

Stop blaming others. Ron Paul didn't get the free press coverage the other candidates did. McCain did not win because he mad a few personal appearances he won because the media portrayed him as the come from behind front runner. That guy In DVD's for delegates proved it.

Which is why we needed every Ron Paul supporter to step up but most did not. This beating is squarely at the feet of Ron Paul supporters!

What I've found out

The change is you.

Well that’s a nice cliché

Well that’s a nice cliché however what does it really mean?

Change is action. Yes one must be the change so to speak but they do that by taking action.

Also it is the bastards in high places robbing me of my wealth and freedoms that I want to change by force of necessary, so not all change is me sometimes it’s them.

Barry Goldwater looks like he made more progress

At the RNC than Ron Paul if you watch the videos. I mean he had enough supporters to actually speak and they didn't even have the internet.

Imagine if they did back then.

Oh well...

This country will keep going until it hits a brick wall and then a leader like Obama will usher in a socialistic era of insanity.

As with most long rants...

As with most long rants, it is much better to place an outline of the main points at the top, rather than having one search for them and possibly find none. Having seen no main points, I can say that as with most rants, there seems more frustration and confusion, rather than focused direction.

One might agree with you but I see no main point to agree with, nor the focus of your now re-directed efforts, whatever they might be.

In the future, please be concise and bring clarity, for by that means we build rather than as a rain shower, simply wash away!

"Suspicion is a Virtue, if in the interests of the good of the people." Patrick Henry

"We are not weak if we make a proper use of those means which the God of Nature has placed in our power... the battle, sir, is not to the strong alone - it is to the brave..."

For the reading challenged

For the reading challenged the main points are: It is mostly our fault we got whooped, most Ron Paul supporters did not step up and do what they know they should have, and we do not have enough numbers willing to step up to effect change.

Oh and what is it you did for the cause by the way?

Why I (and probably others) didn't do more

In order to support my family, I work all day. By the time I'm done with that, I like to spend some time with my family. If I was living off of government welfare programs, I'd have more time to actively campaign. Then again, I'd probably be supporting the candidates that would keep my gravy train rolling.

Could I have done more for the Paul Campaign? Probably. I did contribute financially, I had a sign up in my yard, I debated with friends, colleagues, and even my siblings (wow, that was frustrating). I was elected a delegate from my precinct, I spent a Saturday at the county convention (to which I brought my three young children), where I was very vocal in the platform debate, and I was elected as a delegate to the district and state conventions. Unfortunately, I missed the district convention because my fourth child was born the night before it, and I missed the state convention because they rescheduled it for a day that I couldn't go.

I fully understand the importance and the gravity of Ron Paul's campaign and what it could have meant for our country. I wish it had been more immediately successful, and I wish I had done more to promote its success, but I will not be made to feel ashamed because my contributions to the cause of liberty this year have been too paltry. After all, I am doing my best to raise four new patriots.

Well, you know there are winners and then there is everyone else

For you it's your family, for others it's their GF or a party or even an xbox.

Priorities come down and people choose.

Its the far-reaching consequences 20-30 years down the line that matter.

Sham I am... I don't think

Sham I am... I don't think he was talking about you because it sounds like you did a lot more than just give money, blog and wave signs...

I agree with this post. I too am very ambivalent about our future... everyone I know talks about what we need to do to change this country. I for one am staying in the Republican Party, because like Ron Paul, I believe in the platform. I do believe that IF time lasts for us as a country we will be able to affect change back to what we originally believed in if we work within the party.

However, I have a growing feeling that we don't have the time most people believe we do to effect that change. Folks, I think our ship just sailed. I really do hope that God steps in here and continues to hold back the winds of strife, but humanly speaking, Dr. Paul was our last chance. I don't believe that we as a country have another 10 years of economic freedom to be able to work for that change. If we fall, the world will fall and there will be chaos. And it sure looks to me like we will fall with the current candidates for president. Even the news talks about how both Obama and McWar have NO clue about the economy.

And now we don't have a person to stand behind for the presidency. I will continue to work locally with what I can do... I will work to try to get as many Ron Paul candidates for Congress/Senate as possible... (right now there are no candidates in my area) and pray and hope, pray and hope.

NONE BUT PAUL!

You are a True Patriot

I suspect that you are a true patriot and did all you could but like me felt guilty you couldn't do more. I have no idea why you think I was talking to you when I point out those who did not step up? Did you read the whole thing?

You have nothing to be ashamed of! Thank you for your sacrifices you are one of the few who did those things!
