Enough with these anti-climactic events! RP Fire your PR person!

I am sick of these Press Releases that promise the world, and deliver dissappointment.

Please allow me to explain. First off, I am very excited that Ron has chosen to come out and explain the one party monopoly. And I am excited he is promoting these 3rd party candidates with the 4 point platform agreements.

What I am upset about is how these press releases and press conferences are hyped and carried out.

Today was important, but not nearly as much as they lead on. I would assume Jesse Benton is putting these together, but I do not know.

Press releases should be designed to "wet the whistle" of the media and public. NOT TO PROMISE THE WORLD AND THEN SOME!

If you promise to much and do not deliver, you leave the media and supporters wishing they had more, and walking away dissappointed.

I love that he hyped it.

Who would attend if he didn't hype the event?

Kudos to the PR staff.

Ron Paul has given us a mission.

That mission is to get these 4 candidates into a debate with McCain and Obama, and also hold our own debates and invite McCain and Obama.

That is the mission.

Do you accept?

This is big news!

Ro Paul showed the great statesman and patriot he is by reaching out to politicians of different ideological background but personal integrity. And it demonstrates how seriously all four politicians see the situation of your country.

Dr. Paul cured my apathy

Ron Paul was right

Did it come from Jesse

or a couple of DPers?

It is very similar to the money bombs in which the goals are set way out of site and then anything we bring in is a failure.

I was disappointed as well.

I was disappointed as well. But do you think it's possible that the BIG NEWS of the event was the fact that it exposed Bob Barr? Bob Barr turned his back on Ron Paul and our revolution. Now we know and we can do something about it. Ron Paul even gave us a recommendation, support one of the third party candidates who were there.

...

Drama queens

The idea that people should lose their jobs because you were misled into blowing the whole thing out of proportion due to your own wishful thinking and denial, is over-the-top dramatic.

Ron Paul had already said that it was unlikely he would run again. He had already ended his campaign to focus on the campaign for liberty. He had already said that it was unlikely he would endorse anyone else and that he would not tell his followers what to do.

He was interviewed yesterday saying all that again.

Many people on this site kept saying not to get one's hopes up to those who were speculating on impossible daydreams of what the announcement might be.

Who "promised the world, and then some"?

IMissLiberty

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

I think he has to go all out

or the press doesn't pay attention. He wanted to get a lot of coverage and make a statement to the public. For us this might not be a big deal and we get it, but others need to hear it. Especially those thinking about voting for McCain or Obama. The only announcement that would be huge enough for me, would be for Ron Paul and Ventura to run and everyone else step down. But that's not right either. This announcment is still a big deal because he will get some press from it and he's publically saying that he will not support the dems or repubs. This is a formal statement to the 2 party system that they don't offer options. Ron Paul is officially not a Republican backer as of today.

I agree with

you. This was big news, has this ever been done before? Even on the Daily Paul to get people to read your post we have to make it bigger than life. Peace

A- FRIGGIN -MEN

Yesterday, I put up a post telling everyone to settle down, there is NOTHING Ron Paul or anyone else CAN say or do that is very significant, now.
Over and over and over, we are built up and then let down, Often, the "big announcement" NEVER even happens, and there is not even an explanation.
I do not know where all the problems are, but Ron Paul needs to dump EVERYONE and utilize the fresh talent he uncovered. I KNOW Lew Moore was detrimental at the RNC, I KNOW Debbie Hopper was NO HELP AT ALL to the delegates, I KNOW when we had our Rally in Idaho I was completely hog-tied to promote it or bring additional speakers or offer any tie-in events. They would not even let me arrange a sign wave at the airport. What could have been a HUGE event was nothing but a nice talk by the good doctor. OK, A GREAT talk, but still, so much more could have been made of it. And I am blamed for it by everyone locally, they never understood that every time I asked "Can we do this?" I was told NO, NO, NO. It was truly as if they WANTED Dr. Paul to lose Idaho.
CLEAN SWEEP time.
How can he be so smart, and not surround himself with better people?

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.

must be a pissed off Barr

must be a pissed off Barr troll.....

..........Kokesh explaining what had made him so angry. "Leadership is not just about knowing when to lead, but knowing when to follow," Kokesh said. "You failed that test today and I retract my endorsement of you."

Trust in God, but tie your camel tight.

Im a pissed off Barr troll? LOL!

Not in the slightest. I don't know how you can draw that conclusion considering I fully support what RP did today. Just making a suggestion for the future.

I will not support Barr, I will not support Baldwin

What ?

You just want to be entertained. Have patients! Those who hold power over you, have all the time in the world.

SJB

Sure

I agree.

I guess

If I have to

Okay

RP2012!

lol

lol ... anti climactic ... he did something and he got some coverage ... whats so bad about that

on the surface there is nothing

wrong with it. However if you are recognized over time by the press as being misleading with your releases, you will lose credibility with them, and they will pay less attention to what you have to say when you say it.

Wet their whistle without promising more than you are going to give.

I just HAD to laugh at this post.....

Since when are WE worried about losing CREDIBILITY with the media???

If that's what I'm worried about I might as well pick up a sign that says "McCain/Obama" and glue it to my ass!

I think today was excellent....it showed me "ex" CIA agent Barr's feelings about the movement AND shows me that Ron has brass ones! He's not laying down...he's still getting as much attention to the cause as he can...and so ya know what...
I'm following his lead.

Say what you want...but I choose not to be lied to anymore. If I'm doomed or dammed I'd atleast like to know about it.

shut up loser

.

well thats always a nice way

to address a disagreement
