From Don Rasmussen C4L STAFF

I just sat in stunned silence as Bob Barr blatantly lied to the national press corp (or the half dozen members that bothered to show up). He stated that he had not committed to attend this press conference. This is patently false. He was fully committed to attend until 30 minutes before when Russ Varney called Jesse Benton and said that Barr was out. This man has not one ounce of integrity in his body.

Adam Kokesh stood up during the press conference, denounced Barr and withdrew his support. Several others in the room quickly followed. Great job Adam!

I asked Barr Communications Director Shane Corey after the event why they pulled this stunt and was told to go f*** myself.

O.P.O.G.G. - Fighting the attempted devolution of the rEVOLution
Ron Paul 2012...and beyond

The LP is a joke anyway.

And I'm saying this as someone who 1st became awakened (to the fact that both major parties are criminal organizations, anyway) through the LP. For about 7 years I considered myself a Libertarian, and I still do in a way, although I now consider myself more of a strict Constitutionalist.

Anyway, I think the LP has showed their true colors with this Barr fiasco. I truly believe that the LP was licking their chops thinking that all of Ron Paul's new converts were automatically going to migrate over to the LP once Ron's campaign waqs suspended. They truly believed that they were going to make huge strides this election cycle and establish themselves as THE 3rd party choice. They thought Barr would appeal enough to libertarian leaning Republicans to pull their votes so they nominated him over other true (yet lesser known) Libertarians.

Well, to me, this is all very well backed up by Barr's actions today, as well as some of the comments by Shane Corry. They didn't want to share their moment in the sun with anyone else, but now they've alienated a large contingent that they were counting on.

As usual, the LP will not be a factor in this election, or any future election for that matter. The "Party of Principle" has once again put the party before the principle, and by doing so they probably just lost a lot of votes that would have gone to Barr.

Oh well, it just shows that no matter how righteous your message may be, the party will always come first. And that's why we're in the freakin' mess we're in in the first place. Don'e align with any party, they all suck!

..........Kokesh explaining

..........Kokesh explaining what had made him so angry. "Leadership is not just about knowing when to lead, but knowing when to follow," Kokesh said. "You failed that test today and I retract my endorsement of you."

Trust in God, but tie your camel tight.

"Socialism needs two legs on which to stand; a right and a left. While appearing to be in complete opposition to one another, they both march in the same direction." - Paul Proctor

Barr just committed political suicide... HEY SGP!!!

Did they REALLY tell you that???

"Whether you think you can or think you cannot, you're absolutely right!"

"Whether you think you can or think you cannot, you're absolutely right!"

All of this is true stepping

All of this is true stepping on Ron Paul and pissing off Adam Kokesh at the same time is never a good move.

Bob Barr made his bones

as a talking head in the Clinton takedown days, vanishes, liberty gets popular and he's a libertarian talking head...Bob Barr, destructive opportunist.

LOL at Barr

The LP will make the worst election in history...

goof for Baldwin he will make a record election.

The Plot Thickens!

"Not armies, not nations, have advanced the race;
but here and there, in the course of ages,
an individual has stood up
and cast his shadow over the world."

Thomas Jefferson: “Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever."

Viva La Revolucion!

Dr. Paul was there in principle for freedom of choice, where was

Barr? He wants to 'stand out' amongst the others? The only real way any one may stand out amongst the others would be by their principles or not!

He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from opposition; for if he violates this duty he establishes a precedent that will reach himself. ~Thomas Paine

Here is my advice as we begin the century that will lead to 2081. First, guard the freedom of ideas at all costs. Be alert that dictators have always played on the natural human tendency to blame others and to oversimplify. And don't regard yourself as a guardian of freedom unless you respect and preserve the rights of people you disagree with to free, public, unhampered expression. ~Gerard K. O'Neill, 2081

If we don't believe in freedom of expression for people we despise, we don't believe in it at all. ~Noam Chomsky

For me, the bottom line is

For me, the bottom line is this:

I don't judge incumbent candidates by what they Say they will do, I judge them by what they Have done. Barr voted for the Patriot Act (among other things) and now he has stood Ron Paul up when we (freedom-loving and Constitutionally-minded Americans) desperately needed him to be a part of our voice. Barr now has as much chance of getting my vote as obombomcbush does. Thank God I am one of the lucky Americans who will be seeing Dr Paul on my ballot........
