So, apparently the offer Dr. Paul turned down was to have the V.P. slot on the LP ticket. Root offered to step aside for him. This is something along the lines many of us wanted, but Dr. Paul turned it down again.

A better question is who believes Barr actually offered that? I am pretty sure the LP would have to agree to that (not that they wouldn't), but I have never had much faith in anything Barr has said so unless I am presented compelling evidence to the contrary I am not starting now.
