THIS IS JUST THE WEEDING OUT STAGE FOLKS!

DR. PAUL WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO DISPERSE THIS NEW, EXTREMELY IMPORTANT MESSAGE TODAY IF HE TEAMED UP WITH BARR OR GAVE INTO MCCAIN! HE IS WAY TOO PRINCIPLED FOR THAT TRAP. OUR COUNTRY AND ITS PEOPLE CAME FIRST FOR HIM.

BEFORE DR. PAUL COULD EVEN RUN ON A TICKET NOW, HE HAD TO REACH OUT TO ALL THOSE MILLIONS OF AMERICANS THAT ARE STANDING IN THE OTHER TWO CAMPS BUT NOT FEELING TOO GOOD ABOUT IT. HE IS SPEAKING TO THEM RIGHT NOW! PAY ATTENTION TO THE SUBTLETIES HERE!

This is the weeding out stage so important at the beginning of a movement. This is where folks are made to stand where they truly stand before choices and commitments are made. Its a necessary scuffle.

When Ron Paul refused to give into McCain or give into the other plant, Barr, well, this shows how principled Dr. Paul is which is no surprise to those of us who know what it means to 'take a stand' not in word but in deed.

Dr. Paul is a great chess player when it comes to principle.

Ron Paul.........

is the man when it comes to making decisions.
I just wish we had others like him in office that can join in and help Dr. Paul voice our beliefs and opinions that are being shut out from the mainstream!

Still going, and not giving up,.........freedom is approaching.

Ron Paul is truly a

Ron Paul is truly a genius!!!

All the third party

All the third party candidates, including Barr, believe in the C4L principles which is good. However, I don't understand how Ron Paul can stand beside Ralph Nader and Green Party candidate Cynthia McKinney. They are both SOCIALISTS! They are Barack Obama on steroids! They seem like Ron Paul on the surface, but they are very different than him on tax code and economic freedom. Chuck Baldwin is a religious nut who seems confused about the meaning of "separation of church and state". Some of the Baldwin supporters on here are like, "Well, Baldwin is Christian and so is Ron Paul. And so am I! So I'm voting for Baldwin!" Yes, Ron Paul is a Christian, however, he understands separation of church and state. Baldwin does not!

So that really only leaves Bob Barr. I don't understand his decision to not show up to Ron Paul's announcement. But he did offer Ron Paul a VP slot, which is as generous as he could possibly be. Do you guys seriously think Nader or the Green Party would ask Ron Paul for a VP or Presidential slot. Don't think so! They are very different from Ron Paul ideologically. At least Bob Barr was smart enough to keep his distance from two socialists and religious nut.

Some people, like the founder of this site, Michael Nystrom say that they don't like movements that are driven by ideology. I hope I understood his statement correctly. If I do, then I have to challenge Nystrom's understanding of Ron Paul and the Founding Fathers. THEY WERE DRIVIN BY IDEOLOGY!

Bob Barr is far from perfect. But he is the only candidate that even remotely resembles Ron Paul. I'm still voting for Bob Barr!

I have the same feeling

I have the same feeling about Baldwin regarding religious fanaticism, however, thinking back, I believe religion does not have to preclude people from supporting secular issues, like government. I know the Neocons have been associated with religious fanaticism--crusading.

Now Baldwin is a minister by profession, correct, so when he talks to his peers, he speaks in religious terms. The founders also were more or less religious; I am imagining most people were then, like Socrates and the Greeks always invokes God as well.

However, if u have a link where u believe Baldwin shows his fanaticism, please post.

On the positive side of things, it was hard then for anyone including Baldwin to come out in public against the Neocon religious crowd and declare his support for the constitutional Ron Paul, specially when he was not yet known and had no $millions to speak of. I know he speaks of the constitution and that document does allow people freedom of religion.

As the founding fathers were religious, can't we allow Baldwin to be religious?

On Barr offering VP slot to RP, there are many threads commenting about this in a negative way,

http://www.dailypaul.com/node/61290

given that Barr probably wouldn't have inspired as RP did and with his tainted records in Congress and his politician like unprincipled responses to questions, you might perhaps reconsider your choice.

I personally like people who do not want the power to take power (like Frodo Baggins ;) )

I think some have a different outlook on the anouncement today,

Orwell1984. To some, including myself, the event today was not a personal endorsement of any of the three candidates, rather a plea to those on the fence to choose an non-establishment candidate. There is no doubt in the ideological difference between these courageous and motivated people, but I think there is common ground that we must build upon in order to achieve an acceptable environment for our movement.

There is only one "weed" I do like, and Dr. Paul spoke of it for more than a few minutes at the Rally!

But there is no place for true weeds in the garden!
