IS it morally acceptable for us to be spoilers for Obama?
Considering this is a election between someone who is senile; insane; doesn't care about this country, and someone who is wrong, definitely misguided; but actually seems to give a damn.
If McCain wins the United States will go into a depression; and most likely enter a second Civil War.
So is it really acceptable to force our nation into a second depression and civil war?

I think you have to choose a goal
for your vote. In reality, one of the two men will be president. It is reasonable, if you have a clear idea of one you DON'T want to be president, to vote for the other candidate to maximize the effectiveness of your vote (assuming its counted) in achieving your end, assuming also that your state is even in play, of course.
Many have problems with Obama. In that case, you vote for More Of The Same McCain, pat your wife, kiss your dog, and go back to pre-Paul life...they missed you.
In any event, all this talk of morality and lesser evil is beside the point to me considering that there is clear consensus that these are the last things on the minds of the men you are considering voting for. If you are gonna pull the lever, make it count.

Ron Paul is correct: it is easy to turn Congress in the right direction. A vote third-party is a shot across the bow.

Yes. It is OK to be a spoiler and keep McCain out of the White House by voting for Obama.
McCain is running for Commander in Chief. Being POTUS is secondary. The man adores violence and war and is bitter and twisted about Vietnam. The likelihood of WW3 if he were prez is VERY high.
Obama, while I agree with almost none of his views, is a reasonably decent and reasonably stable person. He spouts all sorts of foolishness about foreign policy but I think it is just talk to get votes.
I think we would all be physically safer with Obama as Prez. If the election is close in NH I will vote for Obama. If it looks like he has it sewn up I will write in Dr. Ron Paul and be proud to do so.

Besides, McCain's numbers don't add up. Barack Obama won more Democratic primary votes in Texas LOSING to Hillary Clinton than McCain and Huckabee combined, yet the lying scum show McCain with a SAFE lead in Texas(!) I don't think so. If McCain does win Texas, it will only be because Diebold worked overtime stealing Texas votes, and I don't think Obama supporters will take that without rather a rather nasty response.
I didn't vote for Bush or Gore in 2000, and I certainly don't beat myself up for 911. I beat up all you know-nothings that continue to ignore that Bush is incompetent, a traitor and a war criminal and delude yourself that McCain could be any worse.

As for the 2nd civil war I think it would happen under an Obama administration as well and I'd be the first to start it. It's not necessary to be a "spoiler" when voting third party. Check out votepact.org. The idea is that you find someone from the other party - republicans find a democrat; democrats find a republican - and make a pact that you will each vote for the third party / independent candidate of your choice. This way, neither of you is giving an advantage to the opposing party since each loses one vote.
Go find your voting buddy and vote against the establishment!
