The reason Barr is asking Dr. Paul to be his VP

It was proven today Bob Barr is a political hack ready to give into his ambition over the principles of his party. He stood up the freedom movement and now he's smearing Ron Paul all over the place.

Maybe you won't catch it cause it's a subtle smear that does multiple things to the freedom movement. The Barr Campaign asked Ron Paul to run as a VP on the Libertarian ticket. This move subjugates Dr. Paul to Bob Barr's every hypocritical move. Just look at the ex congressman's record to see all the lying, cheating and stealing he committed while in office. To think anything different will emerge cause he says some flowery words is the trap the REST of America makes-not Ron Paul supporters.
Secondly, it suckers people into sending money for Bob Barr just cause he says something that might happen-which can generate alot of animosity if nothing does happen.

It also makes whatever Ron Paul does suspect. If he were to go with Bob Barr and become VP people would be angry he didn't stick to his word and principles, while others would be angry if he didn't take the chance to make the presidency. The media is already having a field day with this affront to unity.

Watch out for this divisive issue. I hope Ron Paul stays far away from the Libertarian Party, Bob Barr and the den of vipers that have infiltrated the once great hope for freedom. So far he has wisely stayed far away.

First of all, if Ron Paul

First of all, if Ron Paul wanted to go third party, he of course would go as the president, not as the vice president.

Barr is an arrgant neocon intruder! A fraud!

he is no different then the liars Bush, Clinton, and the afromarxist obama! he is cut from the same cloth!

Like a (Libertarian) Politician Spurned.

Ron Paul wants to change America. He sees that no minor party will do that on its own, so he chooses to remain a Republican.

At the same time, he realizes that the minor parties provide a wonderful opportunity for the American electorate to express its dissatisfaction with the current Republicrat political system. That is why he called the press conference today.

Three of the minor candidates acknowledged their status and agreed to show solidarity with the comparative giant Ron Paul by appearing with him today. In doing so, both candidates on the right and on the left augmented their stature considerably.

Only one little candidate turned on the one man who is responsible more than anyone else for any political opportunity he currently enjoys. By staying away after promising to come, Bob Barr today became the Incredibly Shrinking Little Bob Barr. I hope he doesn't get completely lost down there in the grass. I don't think even Rick Moranis can help him now.

Bob Barr wasn't ALLOWED to show up...

he is only an agent of "Disinformation", propped up ONLY to oppose Ron Paul

Maybe Barr wanted Paul to run libertarian party just to get him

out of the republican party and turn him into just another Ross Perot. So when he didn't join him he just decided to do anything in his power to discredit him.

If the leadership of the

If the leadership of the Libertarian Party was so supportive of Ron Paul, then the LP should have endorsed him and rallied behind him REGARDLESS of political affiliation.

You know, it's the sort of thing you do when you simply know that it is right to do so.

BUT, the Libertarian Party leadership wanted to hang on to whatever bit of power they had and gave RP two choices: run with us or against us.

Barr stated that he would give up his VP to be replaced by Ron Paul. A nice gesture.

Baldwin, on the other hand, said he would completely step aside if Ron Paul wanted to take his place. He stated that months ago. In my opinion, it shows great integrity and principle to be willing to put ones own ambitions aside in support of another.

...

never ask a question unless you know the answer...

he "asked' (not in person, of course) because he knew he'd be turned down.

I agree,

that today Bob Barr could have stepped up and put country ahead of ambition, but he didn't.

I feel sorry for him as a person.

But, I am sure that Ron Paul has already forgiven him, and that he should be allowed into any debates that we can orchestrate. Bob Barr, even with all of his shortcomings is still a far better candidate than McCain or Obama.

Will I voter for Bob Barr? Probably not.

But he should still be let into the debates like the other three 3rd party candidates who would all clean the clocks of McSame and Osama because they are all armed with the 4 key issues that have been agreed upon.

These issues are what the American people really care about.

We should do everything in our power to gain debate access for these candidates.

Bob Barr the sham

Bob Bob Bob, Bob Barr the sham
Bob Bob Bob, Bob Barr the sham
Oh Bob Barr sham, you dissed our man
Bob Barr sham
You got us outraged and blindsided
betrayed and reelin'
Bob Barr sham.

That doesn't make sense.

given that Barr tried to get Ron Paul to run for president in the Libertarian Party instead of him. Barr stepped up only after Paul turned it down.

Now it's too late for Paul to replace him.

So now Root is offerring to step down and let Paul take the VP slot.

Obviously Barr is more concerned about the message than his political ambitions, otherwise he wouldnt have tried to draft Paul to be in the top slot in the first place.

What are you talking about?

Barr never tried to draft Paul, he pleaded for the libertarian nomination. It was a closely contested race between Barr and Ruart.

VP is the do nothing position that Dr. Paul will be dragged through whatever mistakes (and there will be a ton of them) that Babar makes.

Bump.

I would have liked Ron Paul be Obama's VP, though, and main policy adviser...(just kidding):)

No...

This was before all that. Barr was part of the draft to get Dr. Paul to seek the nomination in the Libertarian Party for President.

According to what Tannim posted

earlier today, the LP candidate is not authorized to make such a change.
It must be voted on by the LP, according to LP party rules.

And he also raised the ballot-access issue that are too late to change.

This is a publicity stunt by Barr.
