great interveiw- he seemed kind of pissed off. Normally hed smile and say "welll...they're reaaally pretty much the same haha - neither McCain or Obama are talking about the things that are impor'dant" - but today he's really showing that flash of righteous indignation. I bet you so many people on the hill are intimidated by him even though they have ALL the friends and support.

to see ron paul sitting next to ralph nader, look where the movement has ended up next to a socialist. What is next for the movement making McKinney yard signs ? Paul took a knife and stabbed the movement in the back, it is time for us to move on and support Baldwin.

Ron Paul is *****NOT****** asking his supporters to support Ralph Nader.
Hell, Ron himself said he would not vote for Ralph Nader.
Ron is asking 60% of the American public who do not vote, to do something other than stay home on election day.
His supporters already know what to do.
Ron is reaching out to the tens of millions who think the two party system is a joke, and telling them to vote third party, any third party, to make a point.
Ron didn't endorse Nader or McKinney or anyone else today. He just appealed to the masses to vote their conscience FROM AMONG THE POOL OF THIRD PARTY CANDIDATES.
Apparently no one else listened to the same press conference I did.
this movement has no direction at all right now. What are members supposed to think when they see Paul teaming up with Nader. And to tell people to vote for one of the 4 candidates to send a message to the major parties is silly. It just splits everyone up to the 4 winds of confusion, you can thank paul for that. I am moving on voting for Baldwin who is closest to the freedom message.

He is asking the scores of millions of people who already don't vote, to instead vote for a third party candidate.
Look at it this way: already, the president is chosen by less than half the people: those who bother to vote.
By engaging the non-voters, we REDUCE the percentage of votes that McBama and O'Cain will get. So, let's say that 40-50% of the people will vote for the third parties, altogether. This means only 50-60% of the votes go to McObamaCain. This means that the winner between John and Barry could win the presidency with 25-30% of the vote.
Result: AMERICANS WAKE UP. People realize that the winner will not have "a mandate" (if you win with 30% of the vote, that is hardly a mandate from America).
Result: third parties begin to be taken seriously, and the scope of topics that can be discussed in the elections is widened to encompass SERIOUS ISSUES, instead of stupid grade-school distractions like whether Barry called Sarah a "pig".

I disagree, reid_g
I would rather see an honest socialist (Nader) in the race than a dishonest, Trojan horse socialist (Obama) who promises the sheep the world.
just my point
