To My Fellow Daily Paulers.

First and foremost, this is not necessarily addressed to all of you.

Congratulations. You completely missed the point of today's press conference. The last time I witnessed such incompetence, utter failure, and hatred towards one another was last week at the RNC Convention. Yes, that's right, I am so bold as to compare some of you to those fascists that showed us no respect.

I do not (at least not any longer) support Bob Barr after today. I simply disagree with his actions and feel offended by his words and those of people in his campaign towards Ron Paul.

However, I am also equally insulted by the comments and threads I have read here. You should be ashamed of yourselves. What kind of selfish, and inconsiderate fools are you to try and kick people out of the movement for Liberty? Do you think you own it more than another? Do you feel you have some higher right to be here?

While Bob Barr has apparently missed the call for unity today, he is not alone, even after trying (perhaps unintentionally) to isolate himself.

I don't intend to call for anyone to leave. I just want to bring attention to this, which I consider a rude injustice. Let's not fracture our strength. Ron Paul said to pick the candidate you best identify with. Let's not stone out fellow Daily Paulers just because they make their choice. To do so would be hypocritical.

Barr Will Raise Over 1 Million By This Week

Bob Barr, the Libertarian Party candidate for President, will raise over $1 million by the end of this week. We are also asking Obama to invite Bob Barr to participate in the debate instead of John McCain, who has announced that he does not want to debate. See: www.bobbarr2008.com

A third party vote

will send a message. I believe RP is a genius for building up excitement for a press conference which "baits" the news media. This isn't about "us" being excited....this is about getting MSM publicity and attracting new followers in our fight for liberty. I hate to say it but the "sheeple" believe what is presented on the MSM.

I am voting 3rd party, Chuck Baldwin is a younger version of Ron Paul.He was behind RP through the entire campaign and he was willing to step down if RP got the GOP nomination.

He has presence, he's well spoken, and comes across with integrity, confidence and a love for this country. He has a humble, servant attitude like Dr Paul. He is stepping up to the plate because he realizes how serious the NWO threat is becoming. His Christian belief only comfirms and strengthens his conviction to fight evil.

I am curious as to why Non-Christians see his faith as a negative. What are you afraid of? How do you think his faith would jeopardize your freedom?

The biggest voting block we need to turn this election around is the evangelical/Bush Christians. I believe McCain saw the need for a Christian and "independent thinking" VP. Chuck Baldwin is our answer to attract those same Christian voters...he just has to get TV time. We can do that for him. (example..does Glenn Beck know that CB is fighting for the jailed border patrolmen.? That is one of Beck's pet peeves...(email bomb anyone?).We've done it before :). James Dobson? Larry King?

I just love Chuck Baldwin's message and attitude. I have confidence in his strength to lead and influence. He would be a real danger to the status quo if he ever gets on television. The majority of voters in this country consider themselves Christians, if they don't feel they have a choice now, they would after hearing Chuck Baldwin on MSM. He would have their votes hands down. Remember the voters impressed by RP's few minutes of speaking in the debates? Please get to know him so that we can rally around him and get some national publicity. I know we can do this...it's fun.

PS: I would have no problem voting for a "constitution loving" atheist. How could he be a threat to my religious freedom? Our country was founded on religious freedom, (atheist's included).

Please get to know Chuck Baldwin at the Constitution Party's website. The third largest political party in the country.

I don't want to know about his faith...

I don't give a shit if he is a Buddhist, a Christian or a Muslim. I simply don't want to go there.

What matters to me is his stance on Liberty and the Constitution and that he is endorsed by my favorite Secretary of the Treasury, Ron Paul.

"Victory for liberty! That is our goal, and nothing less. -- Ron Paul, December 17, 2007"

Ron Paul is my President.

thank you aVoiceof Reason

for a very important post. Immature posts flaming those they don't like or immediately understand reduces our effectiveness in helping each other think through complex issues and strategies. Besides distracting from the business at hand, they lower the quality of the DP experience. You who use insults and taunts a lot don't just impact the person you're targeting. It's annoying to all who try to discourse thoughtfully and respectfully.
We're up against the most threatening government machine of all time, and too many are acting as if they're playing war games.
Please think of the qualities you admire in Dr. Paul. Most of us were thrilled to find a politician(!) who thinks, reasons, has a strong personal ethic, and the courage to stand his ground with calm, clear, rational honesty against the combined power elite of the military industrial complex.
If you'll take the time to listen, think, and speak more respectfully, you'll learn faster and be much more effective speakers for liberty

It's hard to hear a voice of reason

when it is being constantly drowned out by multiple and inflammatory voices of treason.

Have you met preferred?

thank you... this was the

thank you... this was the point I was trying to make.

..and I, for one, am VERY

..and I, for one, am VERY glad the point was made in a thread. I have been appalled at the lack of tolerance and the insults and name calling going on here. If we can not voice our opinions without the flaming, what sort of place has this become?

I am more appalled

by voices who would drown us out, distract us and purposefully confuse us than I am by any forceful but righteous denouncements of the traitors among us.

You cannot fight evil without confronting evil.

hmmm, I why is there a space

Looks like a lame troll account.

No, he isn't.

Though I disagree with him today I know and respect him as a true supporter.

Dr. Paul cured my apathy

Ron Paul was right

because it looked weird all

because it looked weird all as one word.

and I'm not a troll. I still support Ron Paul and plan to write him in. I seriously doubt the same of you, which means you don't support him, which means you're a troll.... at least using you're retarded logic, that's the answer one would arrive at.

Barr and some of his followers here obviously

tried to spoil today's great news: four third party candidates of different different ideological background and Ron Paul convene to deliver a strong message too the American. Obviously Barr not only didn't show up as promised but tried to take a chance to get public attention with his own press conference. And some people here tried to make this the big issue and to ridicule Ron Paul.
I guess some people here (including me) have the right to show how annoyed they are about this!

Dr. Paul cured my apathy

Ron Paul was right

you're missing the point.

you're missing the point. Nobody here was attacking Ron Paul (not that I know of), but lots of people were attacking Bob Barr and his supporters, despite them being a part of the Liberty movement and the 3rd party coalition. He did sign on to it you know.

Actually there were several

Actually there were several posts dissing Dr Paul mostly by Barr fans

Bob Barr wants

to dance on two weddings at the same time. He tries to be part of the liberty movement and to keep respectability among the establisment. That doens't work any longer. Ron Paul and the oher candidates made it clear there is now a cross-road. You can't walk both paths at the same time. I don't know what Bob Barrs motivations are.
Nobody attacking Ron Paul here? Oh read the comments or a post like
"Ron Paul - lousy politician?"

Dr. Paul cured my apathy

Ron Paul was right

I have to say, Barr supporters are

some of the most civil people here.

Right! Bob Barr is a tool of the establishment. Period

In Christ,

You miss the issue!

Dr. Paul cured my apathy

Ron Paul was right

AVoiceofReason, I agree completely.

Ron is not endorsing Nader, Baldwin, Barr, or McKinney in any personal sense. Our good Dr. Paul is tackling the real problem, the "stranglehold" of the two-party system. Thank you for posting this. I am concerned that we, at the DP, may shun our new found partners in restoring accountability. Do you all recognize the utility of a three-party system, it will demand recognition of certain issues, who can disagree with this?

I am beginning to notice a select few that take it upon themselves to hijack and ridicule, all in the name of tolerance and freedom. I am not talking about supposed "trolls." You know who you are, my hope is that you reflect on your actions and words and consider how they effect our movement. Embrace these new recuits in the quest for accountable government and personal liberty.

Again, thank you AVoiceofReason. We need to keep this topic up.

Think for yourself. Question authority.

Think for yourself. Question authority.

A point to Ponder.

Healthnut4freedom down below made a good statement:

"We were shocked frankly. It was just so unexpected."

Therein lies the problem with so many here. It was unexpected. Why? Optimism- blind optimism in some cases. Another poster said this has become a sort of cult for others. I agree on that as well. Both are valid points.

Optimism is the venetian blind of reality. When people don't want to see what's out the window, they close the shades. Many people here are guilty of doing just that, but you can't reach them. This is why time and time again, hopes are dashed and depression and disappointment over things set in here on this forum, often leading to debates, disagreements, and more to the point lately, the online equivalent of fist fights.

So many for such a long time have looked for something to believe in. When Dr. Paul came along, it gave these people just what they were looking for, and they try so desperately to hang on to that feeling once they find it. This makes it all the more painful when it rides off into the night.

It is time to stop drawing the shades now; it's not a game or contest anymore. Optimism when unchecked is very dangerous, and now it is time now to be realistic and vigilant. This is, a long time now, out of our hands. Let the chips fall where they may. Right now we should be looking ahead at what's coming at us instead of worrying over the rock we just ran over. 9/11, Barr and the multitude of other things that everyone is caught up over, I hate to tell you, is not important right now. Yes, we demand answers, but now is NOT the time to argue over them or seek them out. It was tragic, yes, but right now, who really gives a shit?

We have bigger goals to meet or else none of you will have a chance at finding your answers. Keep your boots on and get back in the mud.

thank you. It's good to

thank you. It's good to know there are still sensible people here.

The majority of you are

The majority of you are still missing the point of this post. It's like you're determined to be fuck ups...

I agree

I am very unhappy with the way things were handled today. I think we all were. We were shocked frankly. It was just so unexpected. But, we do not want to appear like a bunch of fractious sore losers. It's up to each one of us, personally, who we will vote for now. The point is, DON"T VOTE for the Republicrats. If RP could get some Obama people to see that McKinney or Nader are viable candidates, then he has done his job. If he can get McCain people to see that Chuck Baldwin is a viable candidate, then he has done his job. We all want our country back and want our vote to count. So, let's get back together and do it.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5,6

After this charade today

After this charade today please don't forget Barr is still spreading a message of liberty and more freedom (whether you like it or not), and I still hope he gets more votes than Mccain or Obama.

This event hasn't change his message of limited government...let's not forget that...

As I stated earlier, I most likely will be voting for Baldwin now, but that does not mean we can't support his limited government message...

I hope barr gets more votes than mccain or obama COMBINED

but less than Ron Paul, Baldwin, Nader, Ventura, Perot, Britney, that one redhead on Curb Appeal, Betty White, Mariah Callas (loved her La Habenera from Carmen- Bizet) and Cleveland from "Family guy"

Live Free or Diebold

"La Habenera from Carmen" ? don`t you think you are

pushing the envelope on that choice? you are over the edge , chill!

It is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people that pay no price for being wrong.
