shagy

I can see what you are saying & just to clarify; I am promoting No one , only commenting on issues right now. RON PAUL is my Favorite to date though I don't see eye to eye with him on every issue, either. So ,we're in the same court., which is good.
says

It's not that he's a Christian...

it's that he wants to enforce Christian values on people who aren't Christian. Just look at the Constitution Party platform, it's full of this type of stuff. Ban gambling? Um....sorry.

Ok Shagy

"Full of this type of stuff"

Here's a cut/paste of the actual CP platform on gambling below.
Reserved to the states, as set forth by the 10th Amendment. What is your particular problem there?

Gambling

James Madison said: "The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined." (Federalist Papers #45) The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people (Amendment X).

Gambling promotes an increase in crime, destruction of family values, and a decline in the moral fiber of our country. We are opposed to government sponsorship, involvement in, or promotion of gambling, such as lotteries, or subsidization of Native American casinos in the name of economic development. We call for the repeal of federal legislation that usurps state and local authority regarding authorization and regulation of tribal casinos in the states.

Gay person reply ,THANKS

Javan999; I appreciate the comment . I am a Christian; though some my call me abnormal. I too believe in equal rights, just not special rights. Marriage by nature's definition is self explanitory. I do believe if a person has a life partner he/she should designate visitation rights, etc. Because all citizens have, somewhat, equal opportunity to a job, healthcare, bonuses, and all other life isues problems, there is no need to pass special exceptions for persons of the same sex. IF society chooses to promote marriage as defined in nature itself I see no problem, & believe any inteligent person should accept what is natural. Tax & benefits are already addressed by HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD title. So I myself do not see the contriversy.

Amen brother!

I'll be voting Chuck Baldwin and I'm gay...

One big issue I've had with Chuck Baldwin is that I'm gay and Chuck seriously frowns on equal rights for gays.

However- considering the shape of our country and the challenges we face I'm 'prioritizing my threats' and will STILL be voting for Chuck.

I 'was' going to vote for Bob Barr until he made this "Liberty and saving the country" movement about his own 'ego.' That will NEVER accomplish what we are seeking.

We need to put our own egos aside, which is why I'm not voting for Bob Barr and I'm voting for Chuck Baldwin although he isn't for equal rights.

GO RON PAUL!!!!!!

WTG!! It is good Gay Rights

WTG!! It is good Gay Rights did not stop you, because any rights the government gives you, can indeed be taken away. We DO NOT NEED "rights" FROM the government. We have unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This has nothing to do with any government GIVING us rights, and that is the way it should be.
WE ARE FREE

Amen brother!

Amen brother!

Yeah I know...

I get serious *hit for it, but I don't care... I feel 'they' are the ignorant ones not looking at the 'reality' of the situation...

SO- I know that if 'I' can put my own interests and ego aside and vote for someone that I KNOW is more good for the general cause of saving our Republic, or GETTING BEHIND the movement- OTHERS can also...

So people need to park their egos aside for a while and REALIZE we ALL lose when we decide to focus on more 'trivial' topics and DIVIDE ourselves upon them...

What Bob Barr did is SERIOUSLY not in favor of the 'movement' but I AM very proud of Nader and Cynthia- and also Chuck Baldwin.

GO RON PAUL!!!!!!

For those uncomfortable,

let me say this.

Chuck put this out front for everyone to see, It is not a "hidden agenda". He is certainly as aware of the concerns people have about it as anyone.

As such, he has INVITED to have himself be scrutinized over it. He WILL be scrutinized over it. And people will watch him like a hawk, just waiting to pounce on him over it.
So, if anything, it is virtually assured that he would be even more careful to not do something that would draw fire about it, than someone who went in with hidden beliefs.

He has strong beliefs. This will alienate some people. I'm certain that he knows this and does not expect people who have a big problem with this to vote for him.
He's not begging for your vote. He has a platform and a candidacy, and if you like it, then you can vote for him.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with that.
For those that don't like some of his positions, there are plenty of other candidates to vote for.
Compare the pros and cons, and see what you come up with.

Chuck Baldwin has always

Chuck Baldwin has always supported the consitution and Ron Paul has always called him his friend. I have never heard of anything politically or governmentally that Ron Paul disagreed with him on. If anyone can find something please post.

At this time Chuck Baldwin has my vote. Ron Paul wants us to vote third party and make our own decision. I am making my decision based on the facts which I know at this time.

It is not the fact that he

It is not the fact that he is Christian, it is the party platform that pushes Jesus that is such a turn off for me.

i guess being turned off is

i guess being turned off is better the going to a fema camp isn't it?

as for me and my home, we shall worship the LORD

Tell That To

Tell that to God squeezbully!

" In Thee O Lord do I put my trust " ~ Psalm 31:1~

" In Thee O Lord do I put my trust " ~ Psalm 31:1~

What is that supposed to

What is that supposed to mean?

It Means This

"It is not the fact that he is Christian, it is the party platform that pushes Jesus that is such a turn off for me." ( Your quote )

It means that you have a problem with Jesus ( whom is the Son of God ), therefore I said " Tell that to God squeezbully"

" In Thee O Lord do I put my trust " ~ Psalm 31:1~

" In Thee O Lord do I put my trust " ~ Psalm 31:1~

It is the inserting of Jesus

It is the inserting of Jesus into a political platform that I have a problem with. The founding fathers were very careful to use general terms like "providence" and "creator" - and this was back before political correctness. Why did they do this, did they have a problem with Jesus? No, but they had a problem with religion - and were careful to be general in what they said and the terms they used. And that is what I am trying to say here.

Chuck is honest!

He loves the constitution, he is honest and a man of integrity. What more can you ask in ANY candidate?
I was very impressed in not only what he had to say yesterday, but did you notice the way in which he spoke?
He spoke as an assured leader.
He's a fighter and will definitely get my vote ( my sister is also going to vote for him ).

" In Thee O Lord do I put my trust " ~ Psalm 31:1~

Baldwin also advocates

Baldwin also advocates religious freedom for all creeds.

SUPPORT OUR FOUNDERS' AMERICA
Support the Constitution of the United States

SUPPORT OUR FOUNDERS' AMERICA
Support the Constitution of the United States

You're cute ;)

Great video. I think it will take a person with strong convictions and principles to stand up to the NWO and the tyranny we face in America. I think Chuck's faith will provide that strength (he would walk -without hesitation- into the lions den) and the only other candidate who could do this is RP. He has proven, in over 30 years, to stand up for what he believes in.
I don't think Barr could, I think he would cave much like Reagan did.

Hey that's what is so great

Hey that's what is so great about America. We have our freedoms to believe in what we want. As long as he follows the constitution in his decisions and doesn't let his religious beliefs get in the way of our country, that's fine with me.

This country was FOUNDED, believe it or not on christian principles, belief in GOD WE TRUST, whom ever that is to you or him. Nobody is going to arrest you (yet) in this country for being jewish, catholic, baptist, atheist or even muslim. We have freedom of religious choice or no choice at all.

So that the fact he believes in Christianity is fine with me. I was raised that way even though I no longer believe in it.

Christian or not/ why not

If you are involved on this site you should be for freedom & liberty. Being a Christian should not disqualify a person . The very basis of freedom comes out of the Words of God if you believe in Him. The foundations that you care to re-establish came from men ,of whom most believed in a supreme creator, weather you do or not . That is your free choice & true Christians who are stable & rooted enough & confident , in Chistian principles, acknowledge your freedom to choose, as long as it is not affecting others in their belief & safety & promotes the general welfare of all citizens. OF course I could get into a lenthy discourse which you also could dispute, so I won't discourse or preach/ politics. That discourse would only be my perspective as I know there are other perspectives . LET' S deal with our situation as did our founding fathers & set asside religious differences for the re-establishment of mans' best for man, THE CONSTITUTION.......

As A Christian

I still like him!

Just like Ron Paul is a Christian and I like him ....

Get over this religion thing - Baldwin has The Message on the Major Issues! I would vote for Baldwin whether his faith was whatever -
We are a thinking people - it is based on what he wants to do -
and he has major convictions about these major issues

Baldwin 08

as an atheist I still like him

Mike, if baldwin were an

Mike,
if baldwin were an atheist I would still vote for him being a Christian because he follows the CONSTITUTION! IN THE END THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS!

Those making a big deal out of this, want religious freedom

for everybody except Christians and Chuck.

Chuck publicly pledges to uphold the "no test of religion to hold public office" and to uphold the 1st Amendment of the Constitution(as well as the rest of it), but they won't give him the same pledge, or even courtesy for it.
They can have their rights guaranteed, but not him.

They actually ARE the bigots, but they want to tar Chuck with the label.
It's classic.

I admit to being uninformed on Chuck

Somewhere some candidate said something about making this a "Christian nation" and I THOUGHT it was Baldwin. I certainly do not begrudge anyone else being a Christian, but there are some things I am VERY uncomfortable with these days that many Christians do not see as a problem. For instance, our meetings all being with a pledge and invocation. I take the notion of invoking a diety pretty seriously. These people tend to get up and pray for what I consider a bunch of self-serving nonsense, and I am NOT comfortable with the APPEARANCE that I agree. However, if I piped up and said "That is BS" in the middle of their prayer, who would be the bad guy? Yeah, so much for tolerating MY religious beliefs. Then, 9 times out of ten, they will cap the prayer with "In Jesus' name WE pray." OK, I have stood quietly and tried to be respectful while they did something I found rather offensive, and now they pull me in without my consent?
Anyway, now I WILL research Chuck. Just thought that deserved cleared up.

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.

GEEZE! As a Jewish person

GEEZE! As a Jewish person who abhors Christian strange obsession with a 2000 year old religious Icon (much LESS our own 5000 year traditions which are also steeped in ignorance, having actually missed Jesus' points entirely) , I have put up with it. I truly despise religion. I have seen it in schools, places of employment (one of my employers made everyone join in a prayer, holding hands, at 15 minutes before opening, I swear). It is at Chamber of Commerce and many other club meetings. I dislike it, but this nation was founded by Christians, and at the core of their convoluted beliefs, they all love God. What is this Generator, Operator, Destroyer force they so fervently believe they are serving? Well, I do not care, because it is a force for Good. It is strongly over to the Good side of the scale from True Patriot to Absolute Tyranny.
Chuck Baldwin would NEVER betray us and would ALWAYS listen, IMHO.
I would never join the Constitution Party unless its religious overtones get undertoned, or whatever.

To be fair, again, this nation was founded by Christians and according to their personal perceptions of God, yet agreed upon for this incredible Constitution and other writings of the Founders.
I would go along with them at the base of it all.
