I was at this lecture it was very interesting. I always thought that the police was a legitimate function of govt but after hearing the lecture i'm a little more open-minded on the subject.
I used to as well...
however, as I've studied more libertarian theory I now see that it would be better provided on the market.
And plus, my whole life I've always felt uneasy on a gut level being near government policemen/women. There's something about their arbitrariness and brutality... Anyone else experience this?
