I will catch you up on my adventures in DC in a separate entry, because I am so livid I can barely type. My hands are shaking and I am crying because I have never in my life seen so much hate congregated together, so much plotting the unthinkable and so much encouragement of total derangement as though rabid nationalism coupled with lunacy were somehow a good thing.
Onwards then. I went back to the Hinckley last night, which I will explain in more detail in a separate post. Suffice it to stay that I stayed overnight and snuck into the festivities of the KKK cloaked in "values" convention and all of its obscene pornography of hate. Now, I was not allowed to take pictures of the racist, hateful, misogynistic items on display in the exhibit hall because only "authorized" people were allowed to take pictures and record a public event in a public hotel. I did manage, however, to purchase one of the best selling products of this confederacy and using my cell phone, took pictures of the box. Forgive me for how blurry the pictures are. The fuzziness is the result of both my shaking hands and my cell phone's shitty camera.
The first picture below is the front of the waffle box and it is startling in its overt racism. I asked the "chef" of this ugly version of reality if he was at all concerned that this might be viewed as a white man putting a black man into a frying pan and he laughed and said "I hope so."

They're drowning. Pity is appropriate
Don't give them too much power. Racism is a sign of weakness.
1. A drowning person will panic and try to climb on top of his rescuer's head (like my cat getting away from a dog). Some racists were victims of abuse and need to climb on top of someone else in order to stay above water. Try not to bully them or push them into a corner as they can also become poisoners, bombers and arsonists (crimes where the don't face their victims). And of course the KKK wear masks.
2. Ignorance is the other weakness. The children of the above learn this stuff and don't know any better.
There is hope for both of them, but it takes wisdom to help them, not bullying.

Fact is
in the primaries Ron Paul received the largest percentage vote from African-Americans/blacks than any of the GOP candidates.
They can see he is sincere and no racist bone.
He is against the war AND the drug war, that affects African-Americans disproportionately.

You know during the primaries,
Dr paul was accused of being a raciest. It was brought up that the probable raciest was someone that worked for Pauls editor Lew Rockwell. It ended there Lew never said anything. Even after people begged him to speak up.
I read Lews blogs often , 2-3 days ago i read an artical,,,,only to find out it was posted from the David Duke Newsletter . I will try and find the link . I was Floored
If voting could really change things,
it would be illegal. Here is hoping for change!

I am sick of the way the Repub. and Dems. have this insane tug a war on who can be the most hateful, what is most disturbing is people are eating it up. Peace

We still have not grown out of it
It would seem that we never will, People will be culturally ignorant forever.
The funny thing of it is that being in michigan I don't see this prejudice nearly as much as when i am in the southern states and you would think with the amount of black people in my neighbourhood I would see it more. It rarely if ever comes up.
I'm about as white as I can get , blonde haired Light green eyes and Finnish. It disgusts me.
When I go to my place in windsor you never see black people at all. pardon the pun but's it's like Night and Day. In Windsor the majority are quickly becoming middle eastern, when I hang out with my Canadian friends they talk very angrily against the middle eastern people here. Yet in ten years of business here I have only had one bad business deal with one family and they were saudi. The guy actually pulled a knife on me.
That would never cause me to condemn the entire race though. He was just a whack job.
The point of this is simple. The US government has been killing "brown" people for centuries and they claim that it's not a prejudice? then the only thing that they can find to try to discredit Ron Paul is an article with racial bias that he didn't even write. People who oppose Dr Paul still use this today, It's all they have and it's rediculous.
People sadly will never accept everyone as what we all are , Human.
