American Revolutionary

Never underestimate the power that a single individual can have. This article showed up in the Saturday edition of the Murdoch Street Journal: American Revolutionary

Working from a modest house in East Boston, Mr. Gene Sharp is nearly unknown to the U.S. public. But he is despised by many authoritarian regimes and respected by opposition activists around the globe. Mr. Sharp has had broad influence on international events over the past two decades, helping to advance a global democratic awakening.

It may not be long before we all need his book, which he has placed in the public domain: From Dictatorship to Democracy. Download it, print a copy out and store it for the future. Just in case.

Individual efforts combined

can make a huge impact.

Here's how we can help Chuck Baldwin (short video) and the C4L.

I suggest a Constitution Day E-Bomb requesting an interview for the only True Constitution Man running for president, Chuck Baldwin.. Each day, from now through Sept 20th, contact all of the major networks, but esp Lou Dobbs and Glenn Beck: (neither are happy with the Republicrats)

(their achilles heel is ratings and selling ads) mass emailings =mass ratings= happy advertisers= $$$$$$$$$.

They can justify an intervew with a less known candidate on that day because of the "Constitution" thing . I just know this could make an impact in momentum. Esp if CB can mention his money bomb on Sept 20. We have done it before, let's gird up our loins and see if the rEVOLution remnants can make a difference, AGAIN!

This looks alright, but I'll

This looks alright, but I'll give my two books that I think are light years beyond anything else I've see, and one of these is public domain as well:

The Tao of Democracy by Tom Atlee

And then the book released under Creative Commons is:

Collective Intelligence: Creating a Prosperous World At Peace

I'm always up for a new book. Thanks, Michael.

Read the article and added the Book to my favorites

This could be a guidebook for the freedom movement, here. We have dictators, don't we?

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

After Murdoch took control of the WSJ last December, they started the Faux News spin on Ron Paul - no good news and editorials that slammed him.

I told them several times to straighten up or I would leave. I left. Voting with my dollars.

Good for you.

The dirty shyster Murdoch (who also owns Fox TV) was indeed instrumental in thwarting Dr. Paul's campaign (FOX even banned him from their debates).

He's going to get his wish and McCain will win and then the war is really going to begin.

Murdoch is a NEO-CON!!!

But I'll bet HE doesn't have any kids eligible for the upcoming draft.

The Liberator

For 35 years William Lloyd Garrison published a newspaper with a view towards ending slavery. President Abraham Lincoln credited him with setting the freedom process in motion!
On January 1, 1831, the first issue of The Liberator was published in Boston; the conclusion of his editorial left no doubt as to the his intentions:
“I am aware that many object to the severity of my language, but is there not cause for severity? I will be harsh as truth, and as uncompromising as justice. On this subject, I do not with to think, or speak, or write, with moderation. No! No! Tell a man whose house is on fire to sound a moderate alarm...but urge me not to use moderation in a cause like the present...I am in earnest--I will not equivocate--I will not excuse--I will not retreat a single inch--AND I WILL BE HEARD.

On October 21, 1835, Garrison was dragged through the streets of Boston with a rope around his neck. He was rescued and turned over to the mayor, Theodore Lyman. Lyman, claiming it was the only way to assure his safety. He was charged with disturbing the peace and ordered jailed. On the wall of his jail cell, Garrison wrote:
Wm. Lloyd Garrison was put into this cell Wednesday afternoon, October 21, 1835, to save him from the violence of a 'respectable and influential' mob who sought to destroy him for preaching the abominable and dangerous doctrine that "all men are created equal..."

Garrison always seem to be a source of controversy. It is obvious why the pro-slavery forces hated him, but why were there so many differences with other abolitionists? Garrison had strong opinions about the methods that should be used to bring about emancipation. He did not believe that it could be done through the political process, and would not support any kind of political action. He attacked organized religion and its leaders for not doing enough to fight slavery; in addition, he opposed any attempt at active resistance, believing only in nonviolent disobedience. He also did not limit himself to the issue of slavery; his opinions were just as strong, and as outspoken, on the subject of women's rights. Moreover, he could not remain broke with many of his former associates and supporters. He used The Liberator to attack, along with slavery and discrimination against women, smoking, drinking, the military, the clergy, the government, and cruelty to animals.

There are certainly methods from emancipation that can be used in modern day struggles. I've downloaded Gene Sharp's Dictator to Democracy and I'll keep it near the works of William Lloyd Garrison.
Those that don't know history are doomed to repeat it.

Got it! Great post, thanks!!
