Dumb it down

A few minutes ago on CNN's election center, Campbell Brown had her usual pannel of political pundits on to talk about how today's "financial crisis" would affect the presidential race.

It goes without saying that the ignorance of free market economics was on full display, but one comment just blew my mind.

Brown asks generic political strategist Mr. So and so, what was the public looking for from the candidates to address this important issue. The response was both funny and scary.

"Dumb it down" he said. He suggested that the candidates needed to dumb down the message on the economic crisis so that the general public would understand. The worst part was, the 3 other dimwits on the panel actually AGREED with this assessment!

So is populism now synonymous with ignorance? Is this the CNN target audience? Unbelievable, kinda funny, and very, very sad.

he's right

Watch "Idiocracy" and weep.

If you think intellectual arguments are going to win, you haven't been door to door yet. We do have to dumb down the message, or it'll stay hidden among us few % who have a thinking problem.
