what to do ?
Back in the spring of 2000 – new millennium and all – I thought I would take some of my dotcom money, and buy some gold and silver. I like shiny stuff, and, besides, one can always use some paperweights and doorstops. So I bought 5 1 kilo bars of gold, and 10 1000oz silver bars – never thinking that it would ever go back to 1980s prices ( that was an aberration, wasn’t it ? ).
Well, lo and behold, when I returned from my Caribbean vacation in January, gold had jumped to over $1000.00, and silver was over $20.00.
Silly me – I dumped it all.
Now I would like to buy some of it back – but there’s nothing available !
I should have preserved my wealth, but now I only have worthless dollars.
Oh, well – my Exxon Mobil and Halliburton stock is doing OK – for now !

Central bankers are protecting their own, not you.
Central bankers around the world are going to be working like crazy to contain the situation. Of course the media will help calm things down, but people need to be aware, stock up on your essential needs, food, supplies, silver and gold. If necessary you may have to have you family move in and collectively share your costs. No use making bankers rich trying to keep up with the Jones.
Only a fool parts with their silver or gold to leave bankers hold on to it in exchange for paper. Buy it, hold it and trade with it.

There is also what looks to be
the beginning of a disconnect between the prices of silver gold and oil. Oil is slightly down while metals are posting significant gains. This is a major indicator of increasing financial turmoil if not an indicator of coming collapse. If oil continues to trade laterally or decline and gold advances pass the 10 to 1 ration, then it will get ugly like never seen before.

Crap I'd be happy
with 100k. What the hell does anyone possibly need more than 2 mill a year for? at 10 and 20 Mill a year, it gets to a point where it isn't reasonably spendable. The interest alone off 10 mill would be hard to spend unless you just went aimlessly buy crazy.

Momentary freak-out
Commodities always rally in times of uncertainty because commodities are REAL. Oil, silver, gold enjoyed rallies because they are commodities in need, copper dropped because that's what is used in things such as wiring, housing, or other tangible goods produced.
This was a quick knee-jerk reaction that lifted the prices in a one-day jolt. They will drop a bit tomorrow as people take some profits (and as the trend in the asian markets this evening are showing).
Not to say the 20-year commodities recession is about to turn into a boom-town due to EU/US monetary devaluation policies.

Gold and Silver are backing WAY off from the days highs in Asia....something is going on again....I would of thought the same type of run up would happen in Asia too....
What do you think....
Gold off around $20 an ounce... and Silver off $.25
They are both still up but coming down....?
