I have alot I want
to say about this but it has to wait. I'm sleep typing now.But I wish there was a way to get a 3rd party in. I like Chuck because he likes Ron and is on record saying he would make him secretary of the treasury.
I like that about Baldwin
I like that about Baldwin too. He said the ONLY reason he is running is because Ron Paul is not, otherwise he would be supporting Ron Paul.
Ron Paul's Convention Speech
Ron Paul's Convention Speech
also
I would gladly money bomb for McKinney, Nader, and the CFL. But not Baldwin or Barr.
November 5th happens to be
November 5th happens to be the day after the election. If McCain wins, I am going to skip school and burn a flag in my town square.
The thing about this idea that I think might be good is...
according to my calculations Chuck Baldwin would win.
Im voting for Baldwin myself
but I think Nader would end up winning the majority based on the name recognition- the important thing is that we TALK TALK TALK about the validity of the 3rd party idea : )

Will you wake up knowing you voted for something you believe in?

I think Barr, Nader,
I think Barr, Nader, McKinney, and Baldwin need to have a debate, followed by an online poll run-off election to see who is most popular. The losers should sign on with the winner and pledge their support.

I posted my idea of a debate
I posted my idea of a debate in another thread. Barr would face Baldwin and Nader would face McKinney. Whoever wins those debates meets in a final showdown. Imagine this idea to unite the anti-duopoly left and right (as well as many independent-minded voters) when it comes to nominating a ticket.
Im in!!!
Im in!!!
nope. cash machine no more.
lets work on getting the vote out for third parties in our own areas.

if you build it he will come..........Ron Paul 2012.

I say get some organizers
I say get some organizers and just do a MASSIVE vote Third Party campaign. In the end, if people vote for someone else, the electors will come away from the democans and the "best" 3rd party candidate will win. I do not care which one gets it, either, because RP will get a cabinet position and we can start changing this country, for REAL.
The money bomb is dead
RIP.
How much did the freedom slate raise? About 1/10,000th of what Ron Paul raised. The money bombs only worked because of the man who embodied the principles we all support.
Have Money Bomb But Let Donors Choose Which Candidate to Give To
I could support Chuck Baldwin or Bob Barr but never Nader or McKinney, although I welcome their agreements on some issues. Lets have a money bomb for all four but let the donors choose which candidate to donate to. Then all four candidates will gain synergy from the total effort and donors will feel comfortable knowing that their money is going to their preferred candidate. Thank you for all your efforts for liberty.
"Vote third party08!" (suggestion)
Instead of "Ron Paul"-signs and Ron Paul-blimp etc., I think it would be great to have "Vote third party"-signs and "Vote third party"-blimp or so!
Yes!
I like this idea. Something we can do quickly and not too much money and it will get noticed! Take our signs back to the freeways!
On another note, did you guys read the
article at the above link entitled, "A call for a mass write-in to change the system, no $ reqd"? I thought it was interesting. Don't know if it would work, but it captured my attention...
As for a 4-way money bomb, I just cannot and will not support anything involving Bob Barr...

I agree,
I'm afraid instead of uniting, the Barr front is more about dividing.
The DP is proof that the grassroots support for Ron Paul and his peaceful message of individual liberty is large, real, and not going away!
If he takes votes from the major parties
Which he will - he does deseve to be included - yes he dissed Ron Paul - but hes still out there spreading the libertarian message - and getting more press in the MSM than anyone else at this time.
That being said - look at the Chuck Baldwin commercial I found :)

The candidates would have to
The candidates would have to decide this. I would be willing to throw my support behind any of them but all the candidates would need to endorse this idea. And then have them all drop out except for one.
I vote nay
Like Ron Paul's grassroots success- let the candidates energize their own people- with Ron Paul out of the race they have our attention. Let the 3rd party "market decide" on who gets the money.

Perhaps an emphasis on
Perhaps an emphasis on educating the public, door to door, neighbor to neighbor, might be more effective to promoting the problems with the 2 party system, in particular media and debates.
I get the idea, but not in favor of it. I will make my mind up based on issues, not a popularity contest - this is part of what is the problem. I get it, but I don't care to be part of it...
When pigs fly!!
That's when I will ever again support anything TL is involved with/in!!
I would rather have a money bomb for ads attacking McBama

Don't like it.
First, nearly everybody was already broke before the R4R, and alot of people put their last money into doing that, and now the whole economy and money system is dropping into oblivion, and he wants a "money bomb"?
Second, he says "winner take all" of the money in the money bomb.
Well, that isn't really promoting all the 3rd Parties, is it? That's trying to give one of them a leg up. And effectively hurting the rest.
It's stupid.
Lyman is sounding like "Johnny One-Note" to me.
He needs to get a new idea.
People are spent out, and worried about surviving.
I'll try to think of something for a suggestion, and post it later on.

We are having a money bomb on October 19th, 2008 for Cindy Sheehan's congressional campaign in California. She is running against Nancy Pelosi. She is an Independent candidate, so I definately support a 3rd party money bomb.

I don't support a 4-way money bomb for the 3rd party prez candidates but I very much support the upcoming money bomb for Cindy Sheehans congressional campaign. It would be much more effective for everyone to pool their money here because Cindy has a real chance to beat the evil Pelosi.
