Call me crazy, but one thing I think we need to do is find out who is running for president in 2012 from our team so we can
get moving on this. If we can get some definite choices as to who is running Ron Paul style, we should start hitting it now. Four years of momentum is better than three, or two, or one. We need to find out who is running and get to work. I know it may be too late, these next four years could very well crush us into oblivion, but we have to try. Many don't want to vote for McCain, many don't want to vote for Obama. We need to grab those people by the brain now, they have already given up on 08. We need a preemptive strike plan in place asap. During these four years we could do a lot of damage. We need candidates to commit to running, and we have to start funding them and promoting them now. If the SHTF in the meantime, we can all change course accordingly, but for now I say we start kicking some A##! Monthly money bombs, spamming, the kind of stuff we are good at.
We need to close ranks
We need to close ranks around ONE third party candidate THIS year to clearly send a signal that we should be taken seriously. We need to demonstrate a strong show of solidarity if you want someone to stick their neck out for us.
Work on spreading the message and
getting candidates selected and prepared to run in the 2010 election.
That's the first goal.
There is a reason that Prez candidates don't announce until the year before the election. The opposition will spend 4 years taking you apart if you try to promote a Prez candidate 4 years early.
Make some plans, get some people interested, spread the message, get local, state and Congressional seats going our way first.
Then the Prez comes next.
Start saving!
One thing the person we choose in 2012 is going to need, is lots of money! Lets make Ron Paul's money bombs look small compared to our next choice! Start saving your money now. I suspect most of us can afford to save the maximum donation amount within 4 years time. The max for an individual is $2,300 right? The CFL has around 100,000 people. If each were able to donate the max, that's $230 million. Now, imagine even raising half that amount.

If you/we historically put as much energy into Congressional House seats as you/we do the Oval Office we wouldn't be in this predicament to begin with. WE need to replace the Incumbent party with liberty candidates and control the House. We have two whole election cycles to go we have the one we're remaining in now and one a couple years from now. We also have to open the debates and open ballot access and that is something you/we can work on right now. If you/we cannot do this before 2012 it won't matter who runs, just like it is today.

My hunch is that it will probably be Jesse Ventura who is the candidate from the liberty movement.
If ron does not run
then ventura might be the next choice but for him to be successful I think Paul would HAVE to be his running mate. He's gonna need a ton of cash to make it.
