Why not? And if they do, how do we get it on MSM? How do we get Obama & McCain there?
What if the C4L back it monetarily but have Glenn Beck or someone influential host it?

Breakthematrix.com is trying to put one together in New York City. If the C4L does not host it then they can stamp their approval of this on and promote it.

Trevor Lyman is the man who organized the Ron Paul money bombs.
One Lyman money bomb raised $4 million in one day.
Another raised $6 million in one day.
Now, Lyman is at it again.
Lyman wants to hold a third party debate in New York City.
Lyman was inspired by Ron Paul's press conference a couple of weeks ago.
At that press conference, Paul called on his followers to ditch the two major parties and throw their support to one of the independent or third party candidates.
So, we all need to support Lyman's push for an alternative debate now.
If Lyman gets 10,000 pledges by October 8, he and the other sponsors will organize a debate in New York City.
All major candidates -- Nader, Barr, McKinney, Baldwin, Obama and McCain will be invited.
Already, with no publicity, Lyman has close to 1,000 pledgers.

Can you imagine...Walter Cronkite as the host?
For those who may not know him, Walter Cronkite was "the" trusted name in news for decades. But also take a look at a couple of notes from his Wikipedia entry:
- Cronkite has been a vocal advocate for free airtime for political candidates. He worked with the Alliance for Better Campaigns and Common Cause, for instance, on an unsuccessful lobbying effort to have an amendment added to the McCain-Feingold-Shays-Meehan Campaign Finance Reform Act of 2001 that would have required TV broadcast companies to provide free airtime to candidates. Cronkite has criticized the present system of campaign finance which allows elections to "be purchased" by special interests, and he has noted that all the European democracies "provide their candidates with extensive free airtime." "In fact", Cronkite has pointed out, "of all the major nations worldwide that profess to have democracies, only seven — just seven — do not offer free airtime", putting the United States on a list with Ecuador, Honduras, Malaysia, Taiwan, Tanzania, and Trinidad and Tobago. In the 2000 election year, the amount spent by candidates in the major TV markets approached $1 billion. - Cronkite is a supporter of the anti-War on Drugs Drug Policy Alliance and the nonprofit world hunger organization Heifer International. His distinctive voice provides narration for the television ads of the University of Texas at Austin, his alma mater. Cronkite is also an avid sailor and a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, with the honorary rank of commodore.
Wouldn't Cronkite as host be a coup?? Talk about getting people to tune in!

It would be good if we could have an event where we have a debate with the third party and Indepedents, and have the money bomb where it's not winner take all, but winner gets half, second gets half of the remaining half and the last half is split between the last two, and for Ron Paul supporters to ask the questions on YouTube. Have the kind of YouTube debate we wanted during the primaries..and present an opportunity for those who participated in the rEVOLution to promote their services and products, blogs..free market. Have competitions for slogans and tees.
We saw that Baldwin, McKinney and Nader were willing to work together. I know McKinney and Nader and catching HELL from some of their supporters, but I see this as a good time to teach these people about Ron Paul's position...so I am really wanting to see a debate and to ramp this thing up.
Also...I remember from the beginning of the rEVOLution, Ron Paul would say repeatedly, "Thank you for inviting me to your rEVOLution." I think that means, it's up to us to extend the invitation to those who Ron Paul asked for us to give out votes. Right?

Revolution Broadcasting, Liberty TV, Freemedia TV...Open The Debates, Unity...we need to get the movers and shakers together for a debate and rEVOLution grand finally. Ron Paul Yellow Pages..
It's like Ron Paul gave us marching orders, and now we're all looking to see where to go...so many of us went to the campaigns..I went to Nader, my sister went to Barr, we want a debate!
How do we invite those who took the rEVOLution off the ground, to help us fly third party debates?
Gee lynn... I was just missing the old days... sneaking out in the middle of the night to plant a Ron Paul rEVOLution banner on the highway... wow.

I would think the first thing we need is a host. Someone has to have the ability, knowledge and resources to get this on live web. First we find a host. From there we can move on.

C4L has some dough left. Getting those 4 on national TV in a promoted event would do more for our movement now than anything else. The majority of the American people want to see and hear 3rd party candidates. It would be ratings boom for one of the networks.
