Kick them all out this November, list your exceptions

Here is my thought for a Nov message (presidential has been discussed already): Pick the opposing candidate in your area that you believe will win, insist they SIGN a pledge to follow the constitution and VOTE for that person, This will DELETE many in congress NOW.

If they do not follow the Constitution we will get them out next time!

There are exception; please list yours: Ron Paul

I'd say Dennis Kucinich and

I'd say Dennis Kucinich and Chuck Hagel should stay at least.

Rep. John Duncan (R-TN) should remain in office.

He is a Ron Paul Republican, and has been for a long time.
Voted against the war, along with Ron Paul, in the 2002 Iraq War Resolution.

He's not perfect, but he often votes with Ron Paul as a thorn in the GOP's side.

Steve King (5th District, Iowa)

Wrong on Iraq (like just about everyone else) but right on many other issues (like immigration, for example).

And this IS the time to look at the alternatives. "Throwing the bums out" indiscriminately has always been the knee jerk response of "reformers".

You see how well it has worked so far.

Without truly viable alternative candidates, we are only going to be shooting ourselves in the foot.

In the CFL political training seminar they taught us that politicians respond to pleasure and pain like any other dumb animal.

But losing an election is not pain, its death.

It would be the political equivalent of house-training your pet dog by shooting it in the head whenever it messed the floor.

Let's start working for 2010!

The suggestion conjures up images of Dr. Paul leaving

D.C., like Lot fleeing Sodom, refusing to look back, although I would certainly make sure that his wife was already out of harm's way and not in a position to look back. :) I would like to get rid of all of my neocon representatives. The problem thus far has been convincing my neighbors who still seem to greet war news with much the same reaction as fans at a football game.

Wall D.C. in like that old

Wall D.C. in like that old movie "Escape from New York"...let them legislate all they want to within those walls but leave the rest of us alone.

Go in. Take Ron Paul to safety and burn down the rest of D.C.

Then we'll start over after we hunt down every politician and bring them to justice...oh and we'll issue our own vucking warrants...a little Libertarian, Constitutional 'GROUP THERAPY'!

yes- definitely... AND

get a list of all incumbents and how this current banking crisis affected them personally. Who profited? Who got stung? Who acted on inside info and bailed out in time? etc. We may not be able to bust anyone, and of course theyll have explainations- but any incumbent who came out ahead in this should be voted out. That should be one criteria. Also- unless they are a known "Ron Paul", we should excercise our own un-official term limits policy. Statistics show that the corruption starts in the 2nd & 3rd terms when they are rooted and spend all of their workdays working toward their re-election instead of doing the job they were elected to do. We'll never have official term limits- its just something the voters need to do as individuals.
