$75,000 Prize for the Best 500 Character Arguments -- Career Liberty Debators!!

0 votes

Let's pool our money and create Cash Prizes for the following:

Best 500 Character Argument for Free-Markets

Best 500 Character Debate (Each debator must argue both sides)

Best 500 Character Argument for Private Property Law

Best 500 Character "character assasination" of any Democrat or Republican

Best 500 Character Arguement against interventionism

Best 500 Character Argument for Constutional Republic vs Constitutional Monarchy

Best 500 Character Thesis on Liberty

Best 500 Character Debate (Minarchism vs Anarcho-Capitalism OR Anarcho-Marxism vs Minarchism OR Anarcho-Capitalism vs Anarcho-Kritocracy)

We can do this in video format as well (All the above "Bests" and "Debates" in 1min videos)!!!

If we get enough money pooled with some really great cash / gift prizes -- we will get millions to participate and research the conept of Liberty.

Say $75,000 per category (per winner) - runner up $45,000 - 2nd runner up $10,000 - 3rd runner up 5 best books on liberty. The winners will get to direct the remainder of the pooled money to Charities or Candidates/Parties (regardless of affiliation).

Each participant pays $2 to compete and we will need a huge money bomb to get enough for the grand prize totals

No Rules on: Age, Number of times Participating, Country of Origin, or Party Affiliation -- Even though the questions and debates will be skewed toward a Libertarian subset.

Not only that but winners will also turn into potential "leaders" in the freedom movement!!

Why 500 Character? Because many blogs and social networking sites have 500 character limit -- also the message of liberty needs to get out and we want people to be able to make powerfu short-shrift-concise arguements to hold the attention of the listener/reader!!!

What is begun in anger, ends in shame.

Great Idea

Wish I had some $$$.

Maybe create a non profit

Maybe create a non profit liberty scholarship fund. Every year students competing for the scholarships will submit essays on liberty related topics.

Then, not only will we be able to further promote liberty by promoting the scholarship program but we get the added benefit of influencing some of the most intelligent young people in schools today. These are the students who have significant academic influence over others.

...

Create our Own Universities!!

I like where your head is at.

I don't think we

even need a monetary prize. I think people would do it for the challenge. Just my two cents. Peace

I like your heart...

but people come for the Free-Market potential (for Liberty) and the two are always connected.

We could create a smaller monetary prize -- say $2 per contestant and leave it like that -- We'd only need to have enough for the first round of prize winners.

Contestants judge but they can't judge on their own submittals.
