This is the exact moment we have been talking about and waiting for.
Why are we not hitting the streets with torches and pitchforks?
We really do need to act SOON.

really? why not?
You afraid of the internet "government loving" boogyman or something?
Well
Actually, this is deep principle, may not appear that way, even so, "You have to hate something in your personal life in order to change it".

Front Page of Local Paper Says "Americans Angry Over Buyout"
because they can barely make ends meet even if they are not losing their home but it clearly says.....It's necessary...most read this and shrug their shoulders.
I wonder who the F "decided"
I wonder who the F "decided" it was necessary. You should go to this paper and talk to the writer. That is shabby journalism at best. It is NOT necessary for those not involved (US) to bail out a failed company. WHERE does he get his information? Murdoch?
why not
blast the congress critters this week with phone calls, emails, faxes - whatever works and lots and lots of it - lots of it!!!
i have seen over the past couple of years how it DOES make a difference if enough people are fed up and act. it works. i just saw this morning headlines at my local co-op and of course the bailout was all over the front page of the boston globe and new york times.
well, what was interesting is that there were 3 big pics - one of bush, one of paulsen (maybe it was bernanke) and one of john q public saying it was bull that he ought to be bailing out these miscreants. people ARE fed up and need to pull their windows open and scream "i'm mad as hell and i'm not gonna take it anymore!".
so what i'm saying is that this is big and people are taking notice...i say we blast the hell out of congress this week in opposition to the $700 billion dollar bailout of us and foreign companies.
they are expected to vote on this on friday.
we have a few days to be heard...there's nothing to lose by doing it!
ps i realize the arguments against this course of action - you know, yeah sure, they're the ones who got us in this mess, they're not gonna listen, people are too dumbed down, what's the alternative to letting them fail etc. etc etc...and i still say just do it!

Because the majority of Americans are slaves to the system. They don't know how to riot or protest.
I'll use my own mother as an example: Me, "Mom, the financial crises was caused by the same people that want to save us from it. They fleeced the American people and nobody is holding them accountable for it!!!" My Mom, "A bunch of scoundrels, aren't they? Did you hear about your Uncle Jeffery? He's got something wrong with his rectum. They say it's a new disease called 'Pizzahutsilliapolis.' Luckily Phizer has a new ointment for it... I hope I don't come down with it--sounds terrible. Well, I'm tried sweety, I'll talk to you later...." (some comedy added to ease the pain from the reality)
And so goes the revolution.....

Because 99.99999999% of the people in your city, have been taught that anyone standing up against govt abuse and corruption, is a nutcase. So it's a losing battle.

Consider this...
...why do juvenile delinquents join street gangs?
Because one gormless, skinny teenager on his own is simply not intimidating. Laughable would more like it.
Now what about 5, 10, 20 youths acting as a pack? Obviously that's different. Now you have a full blown "social problem". As the following articles will illustrate.

The size of your balls has nothing to do with your success/failure in violent confrontation. The same logic applies to confronting street punks as it does to federal agents.
Violence is a numbers game.

On the army invading post I asked Why aren't we starting to talk about state militias and you advocate peace. Now you're making the case for armed insurrection. Stop being schizophrenic and pick a side.

not time for torches yet---- but I have an idea.

John, share your thoughts. I, too, feel we must stand-up or
"sit-down." I was thinking we should all go to our state capitals and "sit-in" peaceably.. maybe pull a Gandhi and fast? I don't know what, but I think we should DO something.. What's your thoughts?

Numerous times in my life, I have felt like I "couldn't take it anymore." When my business was shut down, when my apartment was invaded by the police, the countless times I have been pulled over, searched, arrested, forced to leave by police.
But always the question arose- what to do? A violent reaction would result in a quick death, and most likely, the media and the populace would take it as more "proof" as to how dangerous and violent us punk kids were.
Even assuming I could organize a large militia, I look at what happens in Africa.
World War 3 already happened, in occurred in the 90s in the congo, but most of you don't know about it because the western world didn't care. But all these militia groups fought, and millions died. I'm sure all of them felt like their cause was just, but violence is satanic. One dies, more are inspired to fight, the cycle goes on.
Or think of the Soviets. Their goal was noble. A withering away of the state, a fully peaceful and classless society. But since the means they were willing to use was a violent "dictatorship of the proletariat" the ends became the means. Over time, the goal was lost, and all that mattered was holding onto power.
Now is a time of momentous opportunity, because it is a chance for education. People are confused, but WE HAVE THE ANSWERS.
It is up to all of us to go out in our communities, and talk to people, explain why this happened, and why the problem isn't solved. No need to even mention Ron Paul. And then, when the next crisis hits, they will think back and say, hey, isn't this exactly what I was told about?
The key to all of this is NON-VIOLENCE. The reason the bubble is created is because the central banks SETS interest rates. In other words they, with the threat of violent force, force people to make illogical business decisions. Such an atmosphere is where the greedy and evil thrive. If the economy is functioning immorally, it ENCOURAGES unethical behavior.
Educate yourself about austrain economics, and explain, post fliers, hold a town meeting. People will be interested. The vast indifferent middle who are not die hard partisans aren't sure whats going on. and don't really trust obama and mccain. Since they know both are agreeing, we ARE the opposition. And when the mainstream continues to fail, people will be more willing to listen to ther answers we have.
