Christian conservatives are "scary" from a "libertarian perspective" to those who put judgment of people based on their religion on the front burners. Baldwin is a southern preacher; he says things one would expect a southern preacher to say. At no point has he ever advocated using federal authority to force his views on others, but maybe there's something about the Tenth Amendment that socially liberal 'libertarians' do not understand.

The C4L Is A Republican Movement
As defined by Ron Paul, the C4L is a reform movement in the Republican Party.
Thank God we have Chuck Baldwin as a sane surrogate for Ron Paul. We are voting for Chuck. His Party is an option on down the road, maybe but what we would really like to see happen is for Chuck to rejoin the Republican Party and run for Congress, the Senate or for Governor.

I can't support a group that sits on a Christian platform. Why can't we get a party that supports the constitution as its primary goal versus its second?

theyd get nothing done- they simply dont have the Constitutional rights to act outside. They may have pet projects- gambling etc- but they acknowledge those should be left up to the state. They are anti-porn- Im not sure if that means we want to have govt regulations on the interwebs. THAT would be bad (gots to have mah pron) A candidate that Ron Paul endorsed, but was hell-bent on controlling the net would be a deal breaker for me. Id vote Nader. 1.) Bush has lots of quotes about being a Christian. Should I just cut and paste them here as a response?
2.) If you can't respond with real logic, then you are just propagating dogma. It is a circular to suggest that religion will free us because religion will free us.
3.) Why do the founder's religious beliefs matter? They made a point of saying that they don't matter by creating separate of church and state. I thank the Christian tradition for creating such a wonderful set of people to stand up for individual freedoms, but that doesn't mean the Christian tradition is the only or best answer. I also don't than the Christian tradition for making my life much less fulfilling as a whole
4.) The Christian tradition has changed over time. The current tradition is not the same as the tradition of the time.
5.) You can't know they weren't pandering? At that point in time, being a non-religious public figure wasn't just taboo, it would have gotten you a visit from a local mob with torches and pitchforks.
