Should We Vote Baldwin?

0 votes

Some people here are starting to remind me of how the Republicrats care more about their party then the Country...

Why won't you give Baldwin a chance just because he's a pastor and from the Constitution party? Can you not look past that and see what he personally stands for? I like what some person keeps posting about "Chuck Baldwin opens his mouth and Ron Paul falls out"... In my investigating that is 100% true...

I am starting to see that some of you supported Barr not for the man but for the Party. That is not the spirit of the rEVOLution. True patriots have broken rank to vote for what is right in the primaries.... remember how many Democrats had to change their status to vote Republican in the closed states? You were ready to tell them what to do but now YOU're not ready to do so.

So, in conclusion, please stop and think and investigate before you jump to conclusions about Baldwin just because he is a pastor and from the Constition party.

On a side note... the premise of True Christianity is individual liberty as granted to us by God... yes and even liberty to REJECT God if you so please. If you recall the story of Eve and Adam's CHOICE to REJECT God and eat the fruit.... Individual liberty is Biblical. The trajedy is what men have done in the name of Christianity and that's what gives a Christian a bad name.

A true Christian will stand for what Chuck Baldwin and Ron Paul say they stand for. So seeing it in this light.. if Chuck Baldwin, pastor or not is a true Christian, you have nothing to worry about.

Voting Baldwin

You will if you respect Ron Paul's judgment. Just as not all Republicans believe in liberty, so not all Constitution Party members are perfect either.

Chuck Baldwin is, however, as close to Ron Paul as youi will find without him actually being Ron Paul. Also, you know that if Chuck were to be elected President (notice the use of the subjunctive mood) Ron Paul would be a very prominent figure in his administration.

If the freedom movement is to ever win out, we must gain the understanding and support of the hijacked Christian population. Who better to do that than one they know to be one of their own?

I will gladly vote for Chuck Baldwin even though he has never held office and even though it would require a miracle to get him elected.

I cannot vote for any of the others, and voting for Chuck does not wound my conscience.

It's that simple.

People should vote for

People should vote for whomever they want.

I will say this, though--the attacks on Baldwin (now that Ron Paul finally endorsed him) do show a certain amount of disregard for Paul's common sense and intelligence.

There's a reason Dr. Paul isn't endorsing Bob Barr. He's a fake pretending to be a libertarian. He doesn't trust him.

Baldwin is not a fake. Dr. Paul does trust him.

I thought we were all voting

Not for the man, not for the Party, but for whomever best showed that they were there to uphold the Constitution! This is what Ron Paul ceaselessly stresses and wasn't that the whole point of Ron Paul's run? Not that he was a Republican or Libertarian, but that the Party was just the vehicle to the end....that being once again The Constitution.

Are not all of us championing the Constitution here? My opinion is that he brought those other candidates together to see how much commom ground, grounded in the Constitution they could join together on. Wouldn't it make sense, Instead of going for whomever is the most libertine quite possibly also having the least obeisance to the Constitution, to go for whomever's personal moral code dictates that he has an honor to obey it or intends to follow it the closest as what we have seen Ron Paul do for so many years?

Another point: Having a moral code that they adhere to in their private life, not a CINO, is the type of person I too would want; we used to look for good moral character in our electorate and leaders, but somehow over the years this has fallen by the wayside and having morality and especially Christianity seems to be for many, like having an albatross around one's neck. (Please note that I am talking in generalities here and not underhandedly pointing to any posters on this site!)

How do we judge somone's potential if we have no voting record but merely a person's character, a reflection of what they believe in, and good name to go by?

We should vote for him. I know I will!!!

i havent gone to church in 30 years

~ Quote by Billy Jack

We believed in Ron Paul. We

We believed in Ron Paul. We fought, we campaigned for him while he stood up to an almost tyrannical government on our behalves. Many have lost tears along the way.

He has led us this far, to this point...

And today Ron Paul, our Champion of the Constitution, has endorsed Chuck Baldwin, the Constitution Party candidate.

Should we vote for Baldwin?

Absolutely.

...

The way I see it - Paul's response to Barr

Paul's 'endorsement' of Baldwin seems like a dig at Barr, since Barr criticized Paul for not endorsing a specific candidate, he threw it back in his face.

I still think Paul is right in his original intention with the press conference that supporting a third party candidate is supporting real change.

Pick one and you will make a difference.

Can't say what we

should do,but it's obvious to me that I should vote for Chuck Baldwin.
Integerty goes a long way with me.

Looks like

we have some religo-phobes on here.

Thank you for your comments. A true Christian like RP and CB stand behind what they say. The constitution is for all, atheists included.

Getting behind CB is getting behind RP. This is our chance to unite in the right direction. If everyone could get behind one candidate we could make an impact.

That is totally condescending.

Ron Paul "Sign Wave Across the USA" -- November 5th!

You are right, I apologize.

Were you one of the condescending (anti-Christian) people on the Revelation thread Sunday night?

Talking about fire and brimstone, sex, getting drunk, abusing cats and fish? Your intentions were obvious.

I would gladly accept your apology also.

My heart belongs to Ron Paul, but for now my ass belongs to Chuck Baldwin, www.baldwin08.com

Sounds to me that

there are some who say they are are Ron Paul supporters that don't trust his judgement when choosing an alternative for himself. Just my observation from reading some of the comments. United we stand..well you know the rest.

I Don't Think There Will Ever Be

one perfect political party. I say if you are that wrapped up in partisan politics, your lost. That's how political parties are hijacked.

You know what the message is, pick your flavor. After this election cycle, this movement and others similar will flourish.

Our pick may not be in this race, but he's sure showing the masses of dumb asses how corrupt and evil our government and political parties are.

I'll keep my mind open to the three VotePact

candidates; any one would be way better than Obama/McCain.

Baldwin, like the others, has baggage that is difficult for me. I thought the strategy of supporting Nader,Baldwin,McKinney was better and could draw more votes from the 2-Party duopoly.

To be honest... Baldwin scares me.

My support of Dr. Paul is due to his Libertarian views and truth and character.

Balwin seems like a right wing Christian Whacko. That doesn't do any good for anybody in this movement.

From Wikipedia:
"In 1980 and 1984, Baldwin worked in the Florida Moral Majority to carry the state for the Reagan-Bush electors. He claims to have played a major part in the registration of some fifty thousand Christian conservative voters. In 2000, however, he vacated the Republican Party on grounds that the Bush-Cheney ticket was too liberal..."

"Victory for liberty! That is our goal, and nothing less. -- Ron Paul, December 17, 2007"

Ron Paul is my President.

I made a lot

of mistakes previous to hearing RP also. The blinders are off. Give CB the same courtesy. Bush and Cheney are too liberal to be true conservatives.

From a NON-Christian: look into Baldwin with new eyes

He wants RP to be Sec of Treasury, he is a defender of the Constitution, has specifically addressed his support of separation of church and state to my satisfaction (and I am a TOUGH sell) - and he is a truther.
Baldwin gets my vote.

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.

Love the idea

of RP as Sec of Treasury. I am with you on all points.

Like Chuck says "if all faiths/religions aren't protected then none of us are protected.

Thanks for your input.

I will keep an open mind.

You all are my best source of information and I value ALL of your opinions.

If you want the ABSOLUTE Best substitution for RON PAUL...

Then you better vote for Chuck.

He's been speaking Ron's language for years.

another concern from an

another concern from an uniformed person.. do you think Ron Paul would support Baldwin if he had any clue that Baldwin was bad! give it a break! some of you people are very naive!

Excellent Post Desiree

wonderful points .... very good!

Chuck Baldwin 08

Please, stop trying to sell us. We are not a collective.

We did not come into this movement as a group. Please respect others who choose not to vote for Baldwin.

We were asked to consider the third-party candidates. Ron made his choice, others in this R3VOLTION may choose another candidate.

Remember the "4 Points"?

That should be our focus. How we do it is an individual decision.

Ron Paul "Sign Wave Across the USA" -- November 5th!

I meant no disrespect with

I meant no disrespect with this post. And who do you mean by "us"? Are you speaking for everybody who has spoken negatively of Baldwin? If you noticed I said "some".... I was just talking to those who seemed more passionate about the LP than who is running. That is what I see needs to be thrown out the window... so don't vote Baldwin if that's your choice. But don't be blinded by party politics. Do what is best for the Country. If not you're acting just as blind as the Republicans who have a candidate that doesn't even represent what their party stands for!!

NONE BUT PAUL!
