Dallas TV Calls Fundraising "Scam"
Submitted by bruckenschmied on Thu, 11/08/2007 - 00:28Follow this link to the Dallas CBS affiliate. I don't know if I've even heard them mention Ron Paul before, now they run this hit job as the lead story tonight at 10pm?!?

We are definitely at Ghandi's Stage 3.

Bad press.... for CBS
They're making them selves look pretty bad with a story like this. Local TV stations... the word "amateurs" comes to mind.
$3000 ! ! ! !
thats a load of cash down here
ya know how many times you can go to china buffet with that? tons my man! tons!
pax
if we dont smash the israel lobby the israel lobby will smash us
That's not so bad
Must have been a slow day in "Bid D" (Didn't the Cowboy's have last Sunday off from playing in the NFL?) Hmmmm it's all starting to add up now. I've had more stolen from my credit card from an unscrupulous retail employee than $3000. Whoop-de-doo.
Best of all, that clip will end up just causing more people to look up Ron Paul. Sometimes, negative press is good press.
All the Wiser
All the Wiser
Dallas Scam
Has anyone else noticed that both of these "Scam" stories came from CBS and their affiliates? What's up with that?
...
Maybe they have each others Emails or something. :P
Please...
$3000 out of $4.3 million... that's pretty miniscule. To turn it into a big story is what's fishy, to me. I'm sure Amazon.com gets way more bogus patronage than that yet nobody broadcasts that.
Don't Giuiliani's mob friends in Kazahkstan have internet access? It's just as logical to blame them as it is the Paul campaign.
I Agree Completely
But heads up because their only tactic is guilt by 6 degrees of separation.
Oh, that's not so bad.
I thought it was gonna be a big amount. Like we only raised 3 million or something.
Common method used by thieves
What you have there is a common occurance, "testing the waters" on a neutral site before they use it on a another site to purchase a higher priced item. Obviously they knew of the Ron Paul campaign and knew huge amounts of people would be contributing money so no one would easily pick up on the stolen credit cards.
Whats wierd is the company said they picked up on $5.00 charges - that normally would not be a red flag.
They probably picked up on
They probably picked up on the several hundred 5.00 RP charges.
Don't freak out...
Don't freak out...they did a good article on his $4.3 million and the video at the right on this page is good too.

Who is John Galt? Vote ███ ███ 2012!
Video to the right
Tries to marginalize him and us at the same time in talking about him... I'm personally getting sick of this. I've been a life long Republican who has never been delivered what has been promised to me. I'm sick of every single interview making sure they mention his failed run in 1988. This is 2007 soon to be 2008 and 1988 has nothing to do with today or very little. Sorry just venting as I'm getting super sick of all this crapslinging. Why do they always insist on editorializing? why can't anyone out there just deliver the news!
