I have a personal question. You said you were atheist. Does it bother you that he speaks of God and God's perfect justice?
I'll answer this
I know that everyone has there own personal beliefs and mine does not include religion in any form. In his world it is very common almost a death sentence if you don't believe in god in the middle east. It's a virus. What i look at from people who have religion is beyond that. People who belive in god that have a firm moral decency and accountability don't bother me. I just don't know many religious people who have any accountability, they rely too much on faith.
I can only base my judgements on what people do and not what they say they will do.
I am definately and atheist , But I don't lie cheat or steal. The difference is that My accountability is real and personal. religion doesn't allow that.
