***Please Don't Waver!***
Dear DPaulers,
I want to tell you all something so please think about this.
It doesn't matter to any of us that Dr.Paul has thrown his support behind Chuck Baldwin. It's good to see Dr.Paul taking a side and sticking to his beliefs but at the end of the day Chuck doesn't matter.
What matters is that Dr.Paul has taken a stand and is going to vote for a non-Republican that he knows doesn't stand a chance to win. This is called a "NO CONFIDENCE VOTE" and it's very very very important for our cause and to America.
Some of you, I believe, are probably not sold on Chuck Baldwin but this is quite OK! The idea and strategy is not to get Chuck elected because it's not going to happen. The idea is to show Washington that many Americans have had enough, so don't let anyone convince you otherwise.
If you want to vote for Nader, McKinney, Baldwin or even Barr so be it--these are all NO CONFIDENCE VOTES AND THEY ALL MEAN THE SAME THING!
The main point here to remember is not to waver your beliefs and vote for the 2 puppet candidates because you believe in the 'lesser of 2 evils.' Please, let's kill this strategy right now! The 'lesser of 2 evils' has ruined our country and we have to stand up and say, "NO MORE!"
Please, on November 4th 2008, vote 3rd party, vote no confidence!

TO WRITE-IN RON PAUL...
...MAKE SURE that you verify with your state elections commission the CORRECT way to do it so your vote counts.
Example:
In Washington State you must write in the following info IN THIS ORDER:
1. Candidate (Ron Paul)
2. Office (President)
3. Party affiliation (Republican)
Then it WILL be counted here. Each state may have its own rule, so check it out before just writing in Ron Paul.
"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul
I wish these third parties would eliminate each other for just
one. Then the person might, just might have a chance at winning. It would take four Ron Paul type people to do it and there are no other Ron Paul type people.
Absolutely right!
But, I will follow Dr. Paul's lead and vote Baldwin : )
Baldwin over any other but
Baldwin over any other but I'm voting absentee so I have to vote with what they give me. If they don't give me a 3rd party choice then I'll write RON PAUL real big across it with a black marker....
Bulls Eye
This post is exactly what we bring away from Ron Paul's endorsement. Well said. The battle is not between the candidates the lesser known candidates. It is against the 2 party thinking, lesser of two evils. Vote your conscience, to do otherwise is neither right nor safe.
Also larger percentages
Also larger percentages strengthen the party and candidate in question, so it doesn't just send a message--it's an investment in the future.

This is Already Working
You know that, don't you?
When I saw the way the tone on bailout plans had already changed this week, I know it was because of Ron Paul on the news and our support of him. DownsizeDC.org and the Barr and Nader campaigns have also been hammering them.
They're scared of us.

GREAT post... agree completely... AND
Don't forget to look at "OTHER" for your congressional and senate seats as well - Federal OR State. We are hoping to kick the WHOLE CURRENT CROP out, so ANYONE that is not the incumbent would be my vote.... UNLESS you have a "good guy" that you can vote for in good conscience.

Paul will have to write Baldwin in.
If Paul wants to vote for Baldwin, he will have to write him in since he is not on the Texas Ballot!
A very simple thing we can all do today,
on 3x5 cards, scraps of paper, post-it-notes or whatever, write something to the effect of: Taxpayers of America are Against Bank Bailouts.
include the name, phone number, email or fax or your state representatives and let's hand them out to citizens who may want to do something (most people do not even know who represents them in Congress). On the bottom of the paper, I am including "on November 4th 2008, we can show our government that we have lost confidence, we can make our voices heard by voting 3rd party."
This is what I am doing today. People are opening up and ready for action, it is up to us to inspire them...let's make it easy for them and provide them with the information they need.

This is not the time to
This is not the time to panic and vote for the very puppets who represent the puppet masters that got us in this mess. The damage is done and now we the people will pay the consequences for years of neglect and denial, one way or the other.
No doubt the 700 billion dollar bailout in its present form will only serve to put off the day of reckoning in the short term. Ron Paul voiced his concern awhile back that with all of this spending of money we do not possess, the dollar will collapse. If and when that happens, inflation will go through the roof.
We need to plan for the future -- Vote third party!
I'm beginning to think that all of them are puppet candidates
I'm beginning to think that all of them are puppet candidates
very well said!
Yes, to make a vote of "no confidence," select any third party candidate or write-in candidate available to you on your ballot.
If possible, select Baldwin to show some solidarity with Ron Paul; otherwise, do they best you can with what you've got.
Go Montana!!!
We Ron Paul supporters here
We Ron Paul supporters here in Montana are doing absolutely everything we can think of to spread the message. It would bring us boundless joy if Dr Paul won here and most of us think he's got an excellent chance of doing just that! Thanks for the support ajwyoming....I've been here for a few days short of a year and I always enjoy reading what you have to say. :) www.montanaforsharbono.com

**the soul would have no rainbow if the eyes had no tears**
Yep
I concure and in my state, I can legally write in Ron Paul and it is counted as such.
Go Ron Paul
End the Fed
Stop the bailout
Oh, and isn't it "waiver"?
"..shall not be infringed."
"..shall not be infringed."
I think "waver" is the one intended
"Waver" - to weave or sway unsteadily (as in a decision)
"Waiver" - to voluntarily relinquish a right or privilege
Post could be talking about relinquishing or 'waiving"
one's right to vote...
but I interpreted it to mean stick to your convictions and don't "waver"...
The "QUOTES"
"What matters is that Dr.Paul has taken a stand and is going to vote for a non-Republican that he knows doesn't stand a chance to win"
"Vote 3rd party"
The above quotes are also the problem. Even you fellow supporters and Ron Paul himself advocate that there are 3rd parties and they dont have a chance to win. A candidate is just a candidate of a different party and any candidate has a chance in your mind if you give him that chance and vote for him/her.
Ron Paul opened my mind, so by saying vote 3rd party or they dont have a chance is not fair to you nor is it fair to each individual. Every candidate has a chance and there are multiple parties in this country. Free your mind!
Peace,Robert
The candidate I voted for,
The candidate I voted for, the candidate I gave cash to, the candidate I did guerrilla marketing for didn't win and he wasn't a 3rd party--just a "dark horse."
There is absolutely no way a 3rd party candidate can win in this country--unless you're an ex-WWF wrestler. The majority of America are either on drugs or addicted to their TV so a 3rd party candidate has little hope.
If every single Paulite votes for Chuck Baldwin what will happen? Unfortunately nothing, so it's obvious what a 3rd party vote actually is--it's a dissenter's vote--which is still very effective and sends a message.
The only way we are going to change Washington is to apply pressure and to voice our dissent. The only way to do that via voting is to vote for the 3rd party until we either change the mainstream politicians or change the mainstream voters--either way can be done by voting for the 3rd party every single time....
Any of the 3rd Party candidates
who agreed to the 4 points is WAY better than Obama/McCain; a
No Confidence Vote is a very good way to express the key concept to our contacts and the media.

100% agree
Yes, Baldwin is the guy.. I agree with him the least of the liberty people in the field but I'm disturbed buy the Libertarian party nominating Barr, that is a direction I do not want them to go and I understand that a vote for Paul will be listed as "other" in the computer software and will never be counted nor observed by any politician or election worker (let alone the media).
So to send a clear message to Washington AND the Libertarian Party at the same time, I need to vote for Chuck "Chuckles" Baldwin.
I'm actually excited about voting for this slime ball. It sends a clear message to Washington that I'm sick of their crap and will vote for neither of the "selected" candidates.
Wiill Not go as far as Calling Baldwin Slime, but
but after all their posturing as the party of "Principle Over Politics", then to compromise on their principles on 4/21/06, there seems to be a lack of backbone reminiscent of Republican Party post1994. Was a member of CP, but will not go back now. Don't think I'll ever support a political party again. Only an individual.
Ron Paul changed me. On my views on trade and into a libertarian. Also because of his long tenure as Dr No in congress. Thankfully, I will have the scrupples not to vote Obama as a protest against McA, but won't go Baldwin either. I could not do that unless there was to be a major public apology by many of the Hz 57(including Howard Phillips). That only leaves one choice. What I've planned on doing for some time. Write-In Ron Paul.
+God will count the votes!

I live in Japan so my vote is via absentee. I'm not even sure who I can vote for yet but I already know 2 people I'm not voting for....
Baldwin?
a slime ball? Why?
I think he was referring to
I think he was referring to himself.
Probably Just Tough Love :)
Baldwin is far from a slime ball.

I believe a 3rd is electable in 2012. With the right platform & people & enough lead time, it is doable.

Short of a military coup
we're not going to have Ron Paul as president in '08 -- and let's face it -- probably ever ('12 isn't likely)... That's obvious to most everyone here but it's still hard to accept, because he's the best candidate I've ever seen or heard of.... The fact that enough people couldn't be woken up in time is still a bitter pill for me. (as well as the media blackout)
You're right, no 3rd party candidate is going to win this year. Chuck Baldwin is a write-in candidate in my state, and I hope he gets a ton of votes. I also hope Nader and McKinney do well since I see them as honest people who know the truth about what's going on in this country, like Baldwin. I will support and donate to Chuck, and possibly all 3 candidates if I have the money.
