The Bailout: What happens after it happens?

0 votes

Im worried, honestly. Let's say the bailout passes and the banks are saved and the economy gets better superficially, won't the masses see government as savior?

Or if we are able to stop this, and then the economy takes a detrimental blow - won't the masses blame us for not supporting the government's plan which "would have worked"?

Don't get me wrong, I am totally 100% against the bailout and WITH all of you in this fight. I just can't stop thinking about the spin that will come out of this. "See - the government tried to save America, but you people wouldn't allow it and now we're 3rd world."

My question is this:
If we are able to stop the bailout from happening, will the blame for the dead economy fall on us instead of the Fed?

The very same thing that

The very same thing that would happen if it never took place with the exception that the system will crash a bit quicker and far harder!!!

It will pass

It will pass. And then another and another. And two years from now, or less, the dollar will be in a death spiral from which it will never recover. Maybe, if we are lucky, the people will learn a lesson about fiat money and fractional reserve banking. And after the financial elite have moved on to greener pastures we can start to rebuild a sound economy.

Get ready.

A bit of relatively short term euphoria perhaps, followed by

the increasing bitterness of reality.

The shot trhough plane

The shot through plane climbs a little higher and everyone feels better for a week or two until they realize all it did was take a little longer to get to the scene of the crash and the extra altitude only made the plane crash all the harder.
