Calling my congressman UPDATED
I'm going to call or email my congressman, one of the most corrupt too, his name is Vern Buchanan from Florida (District 13). I will tell him I will not re-elect him if he votes for the bailout, but what is the name of the bill for the bailout or whatever? What should I tell him??
I will email him tonight!

Heres my letter/email to my congressman Vern Buchanan:
Dear Congressman Vernon Gale Buchanan,
Please you must reject the Paulson/Bernanke plan for bailing out and propping up reckless banks at taxpayer expense. This is madness to ask us, the taxpayers, to cover the liabilities of Wall Street. I do not like this! Please Congressman do not bailout any banks! This will cause much more major economic problems, we are just destroying our dollar. Also I read the plan includes the words "Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency." So basically, this plan will give Secretary Paulson unlimited buying power and he is subject to no one. I also do not like that this plan has no guarantees it is actually going to work.
If you vote in support of this Paulson/Bernanke 700 Billion bailout plan, I promise to not vote for you in the coming election and I also promise to encourage others not to vote for you too. If you don't vote for it, you got my vote Buchanan.

Contacting Congress has been greatly emphasized, and I’m curious as to the responses you’re getting. Having worked as a Capitol Hill staffer myself, I know that the front office crew can only take your opinion. But I’ve seen some interesting stories on here with people reporting that the offices they contact are telling them about the reactions they’re hearing.
By the way, when you call your representatives, ask to speak with the legislative aide directly in charge of the Paulson Plot… er… Takeover… er, “Plan.” That’s it, right? ;-) Gauge your representative or senator’s opinion and make sure they know yours.

Who happens to be Darlene Hooley that if she voted for this bailout she would never have a political career again in Oregon. In fact I said that if any of her buddies in Congress voted for this they too would sucumb to the same fate.

This is a blatant rape of American taxpayers, and that no one can be held accountable according to the bill, once passed it is unreveiwable ever again, by congress, or courts, and that there have been no guarantees it is going to work. Taxpayers are being made to bail out CEO's and PRIVATE companies that made bad decisions, yet they still will get their 10 million dollar bonuses.
Just say
he must not vote for ANY bailout of Wall Street or any banks.
If you name something, they can change 2 words, and he can claim it was different.
Make it a general statement.
NO BAILOUT!

I e-mailed Norm Coleman (R-Minnesota) and told him that if he voted for the bailout, I was forced to conclude that he is complicit with the Wall street corruption and that I will not be voting for him in November.
