ACTION ALERT from the Campaign for Liberty !!!!

I had no classes between 10 and 4 today, so I walked around campus talking to people and handing out flyers about the bailout from the Campaign for Liberty. Handed out about 400. Gave about 25 to the president of Students for Concealed Carry on Campus, and about 25 to the people working a table for the College Democrats.

Called my Congressman yesterday. I'll probably call my Senators today.

Just wanted to share because I know it's easier to get involved when you know other people are working too!

my representatives twice today to tell them to vote against the bailout. Their executive aids told me that their phones have been ringing off the hook!!!

Keep those calls coming folks! We need more busy signals.

I am writing to voice my opposition to this proposed bailout bill and any other, for that matter. The taxpayer, in no way, should be required to foot the bill for Wall Street, the international bankers and foreign entities that either failed to do their own due diligence or simply didn’t care.

There is only one representative in Congress that does understand the consequences of this and that person is Ron Paul. Congress would do well to listen very closely to him.

By passing this bill the dollar will be destroyed. So, how can those proposing this bill – those who created the problem - claim that it will save the taxpayer, when ultimately the hyper-inflation that will follow will push basic necessities far out of our reach? This idea is ludicrous.

I find the urgency of this matter quite suspect, considering both Ron Paul and David Walker have both been screaming this was coming if we didn’t change our course. Not to mention that the Bush Administration had drafted this bill, according to news sources, months ago; yet, the catastrophe reared it’s head all in 48 hours last week? Sounds like the same tactics used to pass the Patriot Act and launch the Iraq War.

One would do well to recall a little of this nation’s history. A similar situation took place between Andrew Jackson and Nicholas Biddle, where Biddle was resorting to the same type of tactics: create a panic to get his way. As you may recall, when President Jackson declared war on the “hydra of corruption” Mr. Biddle created a banking panic. When pressed by business leaders to pass the legislation and end the crisis, President Jackson rightly said “Go to Nicholas Biddle.” Now Congress should be saying “Go to Ben Bernake!”

Furthermore, the Constitution for the United States of America doesn’t even allow for such a proposal! In fact, the Constitution doesn’t even allow for a central bank. The only power, in regards to monetary policy, that is delegated to Congress by the People, is found in Article I, Section 8: “To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures.”

The real debate that should be taking place in Congress is why did the Federal Reserve Bank allow this to happen and how do we abolish the Federal Reserve Bank and transition back to gold and silver, the only legal and lawful money allowed in this Republic, with the least amount of turmoil. Hint: by repealing legal tender laws.

If you vote to support this plan, or any other that uses the Peoples money to bailout the banks and corporations which created this mess, I will do everything in my power to remove you from office before you can give away any more of our money to failed businessmen.

I just called my representatives (boy, that felt good) after sending them an e-mail yesterday.

I would encourage you not to use a script an external source but to write your own while keeping some of the main points. Make sure that they know you are sharing your thoughts and not just parroting someone else's.

Like voting, call early, call often. ;-)

Can we threaten legal action? By this, I mean, file a class-action suit against politicians who vote extra-Constitutional authority to non-governmental entities? I don't know law well enough to know HOW WE CAN THREATEN our Congressmen. Saying we won't vote is not enough.

I want to call my Congresswoman and tell her that I will be a part of a grass-roots action to bring charges against her if she votes for this buy-up of nonexistent debt.

There's GOT to be a way to hold them accountable other than withholding votes...

There is going to be an attempt to suspend not only campaigns but the election as well. I will be surprised if there is an election...

Take the day off from work and spend it calling your congressmen. Get those around you to do the same. The bailout is not going to be stopped by wishing so, action needs to be taken. If nothing else we have to delay it until after the election.
Call now, tell them they will lose their job if they vote yes and guarentee that you will take all your money out of the stock market and bank.
This is war folks, wake up, they are selling your country.

BILL TO GIVE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS ABOUT TO BE VOTED ON IN A COUPLE DAYS? I received that information in an email from a good friend. It was unclear to me whether it was going to be voted on or whether it had already passed. If someone can do some research on this we might kill two birds with one stone as we call about the bailout.

I called the congressional switchboard and my temper got the best of me. I dont recommend you do it, better you dont. but i said i dont want the greas_ mexicans to have social security numbers. she said did you say greas_ mexicans ? I said yes. she said thats very unkind. Then I said its very unkind for them to give social security numbers to illegal aliens. she called them migrant workers and i straightened her out on that too.

Call and tell them we will vote them out of office if they vote yes, and if it passes we will take all our money out of the stock markets and banks.

Letters take a while to get to Congress because of the intense mail scanning. Because Congress is set to recess next week, they probably won't get your letters in time before they go to vote on the bailout. Calling normally isn't the best option but I think it is in this case because of the timing. Furthermore, emails will most likely be ignored at this point. Call now! Voicemail boxes are standing by! :^)

I sent an email to both of my Senators and my Representative earlier today. I asked them to please consider the possibility of a total collapse of the dollar if vast amounts of fiat dollars are printed and used to bail out the banks. I also asked them to please review their oath of office before voting on the bail out. Our country is fast morphing into a socialist totalitarian State.

One important factor that no one has mentioned anywhere on TV or the net…

Banks have failed due to lack of the borrowers ability to pay their mortgage. So then if congress approves this bailout of non-liquid bad liabilites (these are not assetts as they like to spout off… assetts bring positive cash flow to the bottom line), where will this new credit created option be able to find non cash strapped borrowers to jump start this insolvent Paulson Plan? With the already tightened lending regulation and the fact we in this country are at a negative rate of savings and inflationary pressures, it is safe to say these bailout benefited banks will still be insolvent due to the lack of credit worthy borrowers that just don’t have the needed cash reserves for an equitable down payment, let alone for food or gas. Paulson/Bernanke know this, but as government always does, they must act (to save face) as if they have a rabbit to pull out of the hat. Except this time my bet would be on David Blaine doing a better job of majic money creation.
