I just came across this AP article: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080924/ap_on_re_us/lieberman_de... Apparently, the senator pissed off his own party by appearing at the RNC.

"I understand that people are unhappy, but, you know, I'm doing something that I really believe," he said. "I thought in this country you don't get punished for that.".

I had to laugh.
