Paulson gets down on one knee & pleads w/Nancy Pelosi!

Desperate times call for desperate measures! He begs her and she blames the Republicans. I think the phone calls are working!

"In the Roosevelt Room after the session, the Treasury secretary, Henry M. Paulson Jr., literally bent down on one knee as he pleaded with Nancy Pelosi, the House Speaker, not to “blow it up” by withdrawing her party’s support for the package over what Ms. Pelosi derided as a Republican betrayal.

“I didn’t know you were Catholic,” Ms. Pelosi said, a wry reference to Mr. Paulson’s kneeling, according to someone who observed the exchange. She went on: “It’s not me blowing this up, it’s the Republicans.”

Mr. Paulson sighed. “I know. I know.”

To me that just proves that he has a SUBSTANTIAL vested

...interest in the form of his personal stock holdings.

In other words, this bailout is largely in order to save his own a$$ets, and those of his closest buddies.

Plus he knows that the POWER this would give him, would also (especially if they get that "not reviewable in any court" provision) allow him to do *insider* deals, to enrich himself, to destroy enemies, and to reward friends... all with 100% impunity.

is a Mormon, as far as I know. He probably stands to benefit a lot if the bail-out plan gets approved with Goldman Sachs (who will be the real winner of the deal).

He might as well,......

have given her some "oral compliments" if you know what I mean!!!!!
Pathetic excuse for an american.
Paulson is actually a movement leader of crashing business's.

"The real terrorist's are in this country. They are not planning to blow us up,......... but rather, take our money, our freedom, and our country."

that's all?

i would do much more than drop to one knee for a trillion bucks.

no doubt

and then they blame Republicans for "blowing it up." Well, shucks, maybe I am proud to be GOP after all... OK, just a little.

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.
