OT: Chip-in started for Adam Kokesh
Sort of off topic, sort of not.
Adam has done a lot for our movement, and will surely continue to do so regardless of this particular action. However I was on his blog earlier and noticed that he had been denied any benifits from the VA regarding resultant conditions of his IRAQ duties. Adam is also very conflicted about the idea of being a burden on society. You can read more about it here:

Like many LP members, Adam does not like burdening society or the thought of welfare. So in true Libertarian spirit, I started a chip-in for voluntary charitable contributions. This was my idea and I took this upon myself, Adam is not involved other then being the intended receipient. If you have a few extra bucks (1,5,10, etc) and would divulge it to such a man, please visit my chip-in page for him at:

It's just intended to be a couple extra bucks a month to help him out with whatever expenses he might face be they medical, food, gas, McCain hating signs, etc ;)
There is no set limit and it expires one year from today. Monies collected will be mailed out in Money Order form on a monthly basis. He can cash the postal order at any post office and does not require a bank or bank account to do so.

to hear Kokesh speak at a recent NYC CFL meeting. He is a very inspiring speaker, and a serious leader. I see him as someone who can carry the mantle of leadership for the CFL in the future.

Besides, you need a little facetime in the community before you run for office and I can't think of any better way to put yourself out there then what he is doing right now. First he will become a household name, then he will be a 'recognized' household name when it's time to run.

I'm too poor to contribute...
am barely making it myself and each month gets more difficult...especially the past three months, I've noticed...However,
if Adam is ever in my area, he is welcome to stay at my place. I have an unused bed...I am an older lady and a darn good cook...He appears to be the age of (or younger) than my kids...He'd feel fairly comfortable here, I think...get some good home cookin'...

I am kindda tapped out but I would like to give Adam a quilt that I made. The map of the 2000 election where there was much controversy about who won the election and Florida went back and forth blue and red. When I was making the quilt 9-11 happened and I had some fabric that had the twin towers on it, so the quilt covers the election and 9-11. It was a very emotional roller coaster ride making that quilt. It is very unusual and well it meant a lot to me but I want Adam to have it maybe he could sell it on ebay. Where can I send this quilt so Adam can have it? If it could raise some money for him it would make me happy. I admire Adam and all the vets like Adam what courage it takes to come forth and say this war is wrong. Peace Patriot
