What was not said during last night's staged "debate"?

Last night, I wrote (Afghanistan or Afghanistan: You Decide 2008) about how much agreement on foreign and economic policy there was between the twin spear-carriers of the War Party, Barack H. Obama and John S. McCain, during their nationally-televised "debate" from Oxford, Mississippi.

What was missing from last night's staged "debate"? As so often is the case, it is what is left unsaid that sometimes speaks louder than words.

Well, there was no mention of the Constitution. Neither was there any discourse on our very form of government, our republic (but there were plenty of euphemistic platitudes about "democracy"). I guess neither candidate wanted to bother with the pretense that their economic or foreign policies are at all respectful of the Constitution or of a constitutional republic.

Liberty was left out last night. So was civil liberties. Apparently the unalienable rights enumerated in the Constitution and the philosophy of self-ownership are not guiding principles of the economic or foreign policy of either the "conservative" candidate or the "liberal" candidate.

The Federal Reserve did not encroach upon the blissfully ignorant economic discussion between men who agree on "protecting the economy" through socialistic government intervention. And wouldn't you know it, the Federal Reserve's middle name, inflation, was not a topic of conversation either.

I noticed that the Big Brother euphemism "rescue" plan was used in lieu of the less-popular-in-focus-groups "bailout" plan by the benevolent debaters.

There were a lot of trivial facts and figures thrown around last night, but one of them wasn't the national debt. And any discussion of the American military empire or its $1-Trillion-dollar-per-year lien on the American people was absent from the "debate" on foreign policy.

There was no mention of the lies, 935 documented lies to be precise, that were used as a pretext by the Bush Regime to frame-up and engineer the invasion and occupation of Iraq.

What else was left out of last night's War Party sewing circle that deserves mention?

Hit them where it hurts, sell your treasury bonds, use no credit

In order for the New Deal to work two factors had to occur. First the U.S. government needed people to invest in treasury bonds, this is how they stole our gold and second people had to accept the use of credit. So it is logical that in order to bring down this house of cards we need to do two things, first sell our treasury bonds and second don't accept the use of credit.
Get your money out of the JPMorgans and transfer it to your personal bank right in your own home. Be sure to exchange it for real American money, silver and gold. Stock up on food and supplies. Consume less gasoline and find alternative ways of transport, walk, ride a bike, buy a horse, use the bus, carpool. This is a war we are in. Work with friends and family to protect your neighborhoods. Do this not out of fear, only a fool acts out of fear, but do this because a wise man prepares for hard times.

I noticed that there were NO! American flags on stage,NO! Pledg of alegiance to the flag before the debate! and no prayer before the debate! these are things that make you go HUMMM! .. What are your feeling's on this?

I painfully watched most of it

The debate showed these two men's total ignorance of reality.

Obama showed his only ability to rhetorically avoid any understanding of the economy or foreign policy. He thinks that more domestic spending will save the nation.

While Mcain thinks that we can avoid our trillions in debt by getting rid of a few million dollar earmarks and that somehow possessing a little knowledge on the tribal conflicts of the Afghani/Pakistani frontier somehow qualifies him to be President of the US.

I am talking to fewer and fewer people falling for the idiotic propaganda. The lies and manipulations are getting really sloppy.

um....debate??????

Where WAS the debate?? Did anyone else forget what the questions were like I did??

Calling an end to the FED.

Don't worry those words will never come out of their mouths. They are controlled by the same puppet masters. McBama is but a ploy to destroy the Constitution.

Yea not a word

but they did both seem to be intent on informing us that the Russians would supply weapons to Al-Qeuda.And we had to spend more money to prop up these fledgling Democracies.(Georgia,etc.)

Good

observations, thanks.

"...a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people." -John F. Kennedy

They had to be pushed

to even talk about the biggest turning point this nation will ever experience economically that is happening before our eyes, whether plan or no plan. They are just puppets; nothing more and nothing less.

I would argue that the

I would argue that the biggest turning point was when they had stolen our gold and instituted a promissory note in it's place.

Right now we are going to go from one fiat currency to another. Where is the difference really?

AND

they NEVER answered the question the moderator asked several times...

paraphrasing - What will you cut to accomodate the $700 billion package...

The assumption, by the moderator, was that it was a done deal, now, what are you, as President going to do about it.

SAD...

Wasn't there some mention of using a "hatchet" by Mr. McCain

and a retort by Mr. Obama of needing a "scalpe"l instead since he wished to continue peruse a few plans such as early child brainwashing errrr development and education?

I didn't watch the 'debate'.

I didn't watch the 'debate'. I watched some of those before the primary and everything was entirely too cut and dried...no questions from the people are allowed..only those questions approved by the government shills MSM.

I'm not voting for either of those empty suits, anyway. I'm voting for Chuck.

Thanks JCap,

for your analysis.
