Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) reports from the floor of the House that the Republicans have been cut out of the process and called unpatriotic for not blindly supporting the fraudulent bailout. He says the only debate has been about what talking points to use on the American people. The most ominous revelation is when he claims the Speaker has declared martial law.

600 billion spending bill is no issue? He had no problem with giving 25 billion to automakers :(.
On a related note
No matter what happens to this bill, the American people need to vote out any congressman who votes in favor of the bill. Those congressmen need to go, and pronto, if we want to see things improve. This bill is a litmus test for who is corrupt and who might still have some hope.

They use this term in Congress, as a type of slang from my understanding, to refer to when a bill is being ramrodded through with no time to investigate it or question it. This, apparently, is what Pelosi has done. Agree with the "buy-in" or else...

What does he mean that the Speaker declared it?
I don't understand what he's talking about, and he continues on with another thought right after saying it. Is anyone else confused like I am right now?

I tried calling Rep. Burgess' office several times for clarification on the "martial law" statement. The calls went straight to voicemail with a full inbox. I'm picking up my Remington 870 Express and plenty of shells tomorrow.

Plus keep calling your reps, this is not going to pass. Tell them you will be transfering your Treasury bills into real American money, silver and gold. Start buying food and supplies. When the Chinese and Japanese start selling their government bonds the dollar is going to tank. They have given us no option, they are only offering us more credit. If you listen they are blaming Wall Street, as if the government has no role or responsibility. Do not borrow and do not lend the government your money.
