Go door-to-door selling liberty!

If any of you are interested in activism, but aren't sure what to do right now beside complain on the internet, you can do what I do.

I've been having tons of success selling Ron Paul's book The Revolution door-to-door. I buy a bunch of copies on Amazon and sell them for $20 a piece. I sell them on the weekends and in a 3 hour period I can usual sell between 1-3. I'm usually too wiped out after a few hours, so I don't put a full day in. But think about it, that is a few new households that are hearing the philosophy of freedom for perhaps the first time in their lives.

Imagine how many new freedom lovers we would have if even 10% of the DP crowd started hitting the streets. Believe me, it works. The people are hungry for the truth.

A piece of advice... be prepared for rejection. Most people don't want to hear what you have to say, you'll get over that though, because it's worth it when you find those few individuals that DO care.

All I do is politely say hello. Introduce myself and tell the person I am talking to that I am promoting Ron Paul's new book. Then ask them if they've ever heard of Ron Paul. If so, ask them what they know. If not, tell them what you know. Focus on foreign policy, economic policy and civil liberties. It works. Good luck and Peace.

great idea... and a good way... that people can feel good

while making a bit of money... cool!!

I did a little outreach today also.

I went door-to-door in my immediate neighborhood talking to people about what hardships might be coming as a result of the economic bloodletting and the idea of stocking up on long-term storage foods for that eventuality. I passed out a flier I had printed up several months ago but felt then that most people would not be receptive:

Maybe you should stock up now

Hi,

I am your neighbor at 90 Dublin Ave. and I have been paying close attention to signs that the US and world economy may be in for a very rough ride, to include more loss of home value, further erosion of the dollar, plunging stock market, many bank and business failures, massive job loss, strained and unreliable government and utility services, food and fuel supply interruptions, and public panic, in short, a serious depression.

Mortgage defaults have hit many lending institutions very hard and the Federal Reserve has struggled to shore them up by pumping alarming amounts of new money into the system. The problem with their fix is that it depletes the value of every dollar in circulation. This is why we see the dollar falling in value compared to other currencies and to commodities such as oil and wheat. Adding to high food prices is so much land planted to corn for ethanol production. It means fewer acres are planted in food crops, resulting in higher food prices and shortages and food riots in some parts of the world. Sam’s Club and Walmart, in certain regions if not store-wide, have instituted rationing to prevent customers from stocking up with large purchases of some items: rice, flour, and vegetable oil. There is evidence some grocery stores have adopted similar policies.

If public panic occurs, many people will rush to the food stores and try to buy staples. The shelves could be picked clean in an hour or less. For this reason I suggest stocking up with non-perishable food staples now, working them into your regular diet. I am not a Mormon but I do recommend heeding the advice their church has given to members for many years: Be prepared to weather a period of hardship by having several years’ supply of properly stored food on hand.

I started out by adding extra items (canned goods, dry beans, peanut butter, etc.) to my grocery cart every time I went shopping. But seeing a need to spread preparedness in my neighborhood I formed a bulk food buying club, Nashua Preparedness Group, which can receive weekly truck deliveries of bulk food items. Besides access to larger quantities and lower prices, members are able to stock up on food rapidly without “hoarding” at the supermarket. I will be happy to meet with any neighbor, discuss proper food storage techniques, help them with storage containers, loan them my catalog, and place an order for them. I am volunteering my time because it is in my interest to have neighbors who are well prepared during times of hardship and shortage.

Maybe we could pass out

free info also to reach more people.

I do that too

For people that are interested, but don't have the money or don't feel they have the time for a book, I give them a free copy of Fiat Empire. I bought 100 copies of it for $70 online. You can buy 600 copies for $360 but I didn't think that was necessary. The production didn't come out as well on DVD as it did online, unfortunately, but it's better than nothing. I have no idea if the people I give them to actually watch them or not. I hope so.
