Many people are foolish to believe that Treasury bills are safe. First of all, the Treasury can put a stop payment on these if they feel it necessary. Secondly they are not backed by anything, Silver and Gold are real money backed by our Constitution. They may make it illegal to hold as they did in the past, but that didn't stop people from trading with it.

knows how to find tonight's episode of 60 minutes. Pelosi stated to Scott Pelley that "Paulson initially sought czar-like powers"! The protests on Wall Street were BARELY mentioned, but were nonetheless. The 2 biggest BOMBSHELLS of the interviews with Paulson & Pelosi were #1. 2 e-mails read back to Paulson from Pelley from 2 YEARS ago that the FBI have now confiscated that read "cows could push these things through." #2. Some commentator on there said that the pres. was "threatening those states' reps who were NOT voting YES on the plan to withhold those states funds. Somebody on here yesterday said EXACTLY that was what was happening. If anyone knows how to get a FULL transcript of these interviews (also earlier on Sun. night's episode was new 4 star general Odieoro sp? taking over for Petreus') or anyway to re-watch this, please let me know.

I was afraid my Representative would go that way, so I spelled it out for him.
Anything but a 'Nay' vote meant no vote for him. We can not allow those who speak with our voice an iota of wiggle room on this topic. This is an ultimatum from the people, 'Oppose this or Leave office'.
That is my line in the sand, if you choose to accept someone representing you who will not speak when times are tough, and the decisions are dire, that is your choice; and while I believe it to be wrong, I will support your right to make it.
