Are there any circumstances under which Ron Paul should change his mind about running third party?

If Giuliani wins the Republican nomination and Hillary wins the Democratic nomination, I think Ron Paul could be the first third party candidate in recent history to rise to the presidency.

Here's the simple reason why: enough conservatives and liberals dislike both of the previously mentioned candidates enough to vote for someone like Paul if those said candidates are the only other choices.

If Giuliani and Hillary win their party nominations, I think we Ron Paul supporters should sign some sort of formal petition/request for him to run independantly (or possibly as a Libertarian--but that's risky).

Of course, if Romney, Mccain, Thompson, or Huckabee win the nomination, I think a third party Paul would only garauntee a win for Hillary (assuming she wins her party's nomination) by unnecessarily and unsatisfactorally dividing the Republican vote.
