Approve the Bailout NOW, this is why...

Okay, here is my logic. If the bailout is not passed, and the #*&@* hits the fan, they will then have an excuse. They will blame the economic meltdown on RP and like minded folks for not passing the "Rescue" package. We all know the economy is going down, but the key is we need to let it crash on their terms. We need to be ready to offer an alternative when it does, so we need to stay in sight, on the sidelines ready to step in when it does. But the crash needs to happen on their terms and on their watch. I think it is too far gone now anyways, there is nothing that can be done even if RP were elected and this bailout was stopped. Better the economy crash on Obama or McDork than on RP's watch.
My 2 cents.

Uh no! There is a direct
Uh no! There is a direct threat to capitalism which has already been under attack because of all the government intervention.
So NO to the BAILOUT. I'll take my lumps now
"Every generation needs a new r3VOLution"- Thomas Jefferson
And endure the hell until...
it does crash on their terms.
hadabazinka, what rock did you crawl out form under

It's more than the $700 Billion
It's the new rules that allow the government to compete with banks. It's as if GM, Ford and Chrysler were selling factory direct. The dealers (banks) will be eliminated. Your new bank will be the Fed, how safe will you feel then?
I understand the point you are making, it's just there is a lot more damage than the cash bailout or financial hardship to come. It's more than who is right or wrong or to blame. Once the liberty or right is taken away, it is very, very difficult to get it back.
its going to be at least 5 trillion if this bailout passes

"How can we justify to the unemployed and underemployed in the United States the incredible cost of maintaining a global empire?" - Dr. Ron Paul
You are absolutely right, let it go!
So that it when it falls it becomes obvious even to the most disconnected American that the two parties are one and the system is broken. Let them have their rope.
When Argentina went down. The popular cry was throw them all out. However in the vaccum, after the fact, the same mafia took control. We can't let that happen here We need to be ready and positioned for the fall. Let this be the defining moment. Tap into the public opposition to this bill. Make it clear that a real alternative exists!
Keep the Revolution alive! Keep growing the Campaign for Liberty!
This whole thing proves the socialism is a fail idealogy
It is socialism that causes this free market to struggle. Anyone that says free markets failed are nothing more than a communist that needs to leave this country period.

I hate to even comment as this will keep the thread alive...
But I have to tell you that you have no idea what you are talking about. There is no benefit to us in this bailout. The reason there is a shortfall of credit is the banks are maxed out on their 10 or 12 to one leverage. They don't have anymore money to lend (create) unless they can A) raise more cash, or B) reduce their leverage (ie; take some loans off their books). What this bill will do is take the bad loans off the books, allowing them to continue to lend (at 10 or 12 to 1) and stick up with all the worthless sh-t.
Alternatively, we can let the credit markets freeze up a bit, which means for once it will be the big financial players that have to live within their means. This will not prevent you or I (assuming we are good credit risks) from getting credit from local or regional banks that have a good balance sheet.
In conclusion, this is corporatism, the govt helping the few at the expense of the many.
Do you comprehend what you are reading?
You are stating the obvious... I was offering an alternative, sort of a Judo maneuver where we use their lunge at us to crush them onto the ground. Thank you anyways for your attempt at an economics lesson.
The republicans have been out played in the game of chess
They need to all start coming forward and admit that they have taken money from big business and they have fail the American people. They need to let the American people know they are under attack by the socialist movement they should be willing to be held accountable for their crimes. If they love this country they will sacrifice their own freedom and be willing to go to jail to save our country. This morning I watched a Representative stand up and blame the free market for all this problem when the American people know they have let the treasury and the Fed tinker with our markets it is the socialist hands in our markets that has caused this problem. The Republican party has aloud these communist to out play them in this game of chess. They should fix it now. the American people should be outraged at this mess.

you really don't get it.
Dr. Paul and others here who understand his economic platform know that we are here RIGHT NOW because of the financial system. Too much debt, credit and fiat money! In a real simple analagy, it's like buying new tires for a car you rent.
