I'll tell you what, if you buy AAPL right now, you'll be getting one heck of a steal.

but these are strange days indeed- it seems we are in record breaking days- it would be just my luck to put a bunch of money on a "it can only go up" stock and have it tank to Guiness Book of World Records proportions. Im gonna totally stay away from all of it, personally.

Strange, but it only seems to be raining on their little parade. Even if it begins to effect the common working men and women of this country they are much better prepared for economic distress than those who make millions each year.

Failure to pass the bailout just means that we all go down together. Hope you have silver and gold, after all this is over, the only thing paper assets are going to be good for is wiping your a$$.

The consequences will be no different without the bill passing than it would have been with it. Actually, I think it would have hastened the economic woes we would face because the bill represented a drop in the proverbial bucket as opposed to what it really floating out there in bad risks. The FDIC recently updated their estimates of potential bank failures from the low hundreds to over 1400 with 36 Trillion at risk...so, what they do when those institutions begin to fail, they simply can't "print" enough money to bailout all the companies and institutions that are facing failure. The best thing to do is let them fail, deal with the failures as you would any business or bank failure.

Wall Street has owned the media
for a very long time.
Passing this bill would have been bad
But not passing it will have dramatic effects. We had a philosophical victory today, but there are still grave financial consequences.

The mantra is that this was the largest point drop ever
however on a percentage basis, we've suffered worse.
