I would Agree To The Bailout If -
I would support a bailout for even more than the 700 billion. I would add 300 billion for an even trillion, provided it meet these requirements:
The bill contain absolutely no pork or money for any other projects except as required to fund implementation of the following seven conditions.
It contained mandatory removal of the Federal reserve act and handed power to coin and regulate money back to congress, a return to the gold system, and abolish the IRS, within an 18 month period.
It contained mandatory return of all US troops in all 130 countries around the world and none could be sent abroad again (except for a 30 day period in an emergency) without approval of 60 percent of the congress. To be completed within 18 months.
It contained removal of all trade restrictions and included provisions to place tariffs on all products coming into the country in the amount that would raise the product price to be equivalent to the average price of the same product made in America. If the imported product was the same price or more than the average price of an equivalent American product, it would not be taxed. (this would make it so that no advantage to investing in foreign companies would be gained, and it would encourage American growth in industry, since it's production would be protected from cheap foreign labor). Again completed within 18 months.
It contained a moratorium on all new domestic programs as well as increases in current programs for 2 years.
It contained a mandate for the creation of a department of infrastructure within 6 months, with an initial budget of 25 billion dollars per year, and would immediately start repairing the country's infrastructure.
It contained language to limit severance packages of CEO's of any of the companies or corporations receiving bailout money to one months pay and three months health insurance.
It removed the Patriot Act, FISA, Homegrown Terrorists Act, and re-established the protections of Posse Comitatus and Habeus Corpus.
If the above seven conditions are met, than one trillion dollars will be provided to a committee of 10 congressional members who would be elected by a majority vote of all members of congress.
That would start to put our country back on the right path, with a boost of growth, as well as a reduction in costs.
