Thank you Ron!

Finally a politician who talks about the national ID card! Our personal liberties are being stripped from us by both factions of the political establishment while the general public quibbles over which side they choose to align themselves with. I can only hope that in a state where the license plates read, "Live Free or Die," voters will recognize just how threatening this ID is to our freedom of movement (as well as the privacy of our personal information.) Let's got Ron elected and save this country for our children!

NH poll 7%

A poll just released this morning by the UNH has Ron coming in 4th now at 7% among likely Republican voters, It's on page 41 of the PDF file
This was conducted Nov 2nd - Nov 7th.

http://www.unh.edu/survey-center/news/pdf/primary2008_goppri...

Overwhelmingly, Thompson is the least likely to get votes in New Hampshire according to this survey at 43%. McCain is second in this category at 21%. That is on page 48.

Rasmussen says Ron Paul is now at 6% NATIONALLY for Republicans

Why am I the first one to post on this?

Ron Paul is polling 6% nationally among Republicans for President after people were polled yesterday.

This is before any national ads kicked in.

Now, his unfavorables among Republicans are the highest at 43% and only 23% of Republicans say they have a favorable opinion so far.

But we can at least get all those 23% and win the nomination because Julie Annie is only now getting 23% as the frontrunner compared to RP's 6%.

Anyway, THIS IS BIG. Why? Because 6% is on its way to becoming enough to blackmail the Republican Party to start being more libertarian and to abandon the evangelicals as the core of the party.

We want our values to be the CORE of the Republican Party.

Now back to our regularly scheduled campaign to kick butt.

Like me?

I'm somewhat an evangelical and a huge Ron Paul supporter. Does that mean I'm less of a supporter than you? No, it's quite possible to be both.

Just so you know, not all evangelicals believe that the government has to force morality on the citizens and many are quite upset at how liberal Bush has become.

Ron Paul himself is quite the Christian, as were a majority of the founding fathers. The core of this movement is not about making the Republican Party the libertarian party but returning to real conservatism and the Constitution.

The ones that you're seeing fighting Paul are not necessarily the Christians, but the neocons who still hold major influence today considering they built this "different world we live in" that everyone talks about.

be careful about how you cast your opponents

While you have a valid point, your comment "abandon the evangelicals as the core of the party" is going to rub a *lot* of RP supporters the wrong way. Remember this is the big tent of the Constitution. Many evangelicals are in favor, and we are inviting the rest to come on board too as they start waking up to how they've been deceived by BushCo. Make room for them, the way they are making room for you.

Some of my evangelical friends are big RP supporters, so I'm not just spewing, here. :-)

#1 and #2 issues in NH, IMO

Perfect! this is the ad to hammer them with, left, right, sucker punch for RudyMcRomney. Hit em and hit em hard. Live free or die!

Republican primary ad

Ron Paul is running in the Republican primary it's not the general election yet. The unstated is the obvious. I don't think there was room for one more word in that ad

Brief, well-stated, and to the point!

Nicely done

.
Ron looks good and speaks well. Only tiny snag (for me) is that both Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel have also called for bringing the troops home immediately; so it might have been good to have inserted the word "Republican" in the text. I think the Times picked up on this also.

Still, it's the best one yet!

But they CAN'T win! RP CAN WIN!

While I like DK and Gravel too, THEY CAN'T WIN! FACT! We ALL must get behind RP and NOW and urge ALL DK and Gravel supporter's to realize that THEY CAN'T WIN where RP CAN win! Please if you know of ANY DK and Gravel supporter's tell them to wise up and if they truly ARE anti-war, support the ONLY candidate who has better chance of winning and that is RP!

Snag

The ad says he's the only one who will bring the troops home and reduce big government spending, which distinguishes him from Gravel and Kucinich.

Privacy is the Message - No Internet Regulation more specific

Thanx Ron Paul for finding exactly the right message!

This ad will appeal to everyone.

If it does not get us 10% nationally at least, it could only mean that the person doing the spot buying was not experienced.

My pet peeve is IMBRA: The gateway law to full regulation of the Internet, a Democrat/Republican law nobody is paying attention to that forces Americans to have background checks to say hello to foreigners online.

A Republican judge Thomas Rose denied a restraining order on the law saying "The Supreme Court has never held that there is a fundamental liberty interest in an American contacting a foreigner."

A Clintonie judge Clarence Cooper upheld the law in March 2007 saying "Meeting someone online is like buying a gun, both should require federally mandated background checks."

The above New Hampshire ad message is the only message I trust from a presidential candidate.

What IS this law? I have never heard of it?

What is this law? I have never heard of it!? It's BS! We are losing our precious Constitution and freedoms DAILY thanks to people in BOTH parties, who are shredding our precious Constitution! This ad by RP is GREAT! And for those of you stupid sheeple out there who don't care if your rights and freedoms are trampled your soo very WRONG! It's not that any American is doing anything WRONG but we need our privacy! The Gestpo of this Adminstration and cohorts in Congress are ONLY trying to spy on innocent American's to spy on OPPOSITION, people! Fact! When I hear American's say, I am doing nothing wrong, so I don't care if tap my phone, etc. THEY ARE SOO VERY WRONG! IT'S NOT THAT I OR ANY OTHER AMERICANS IS DOING ANYTHING WRONG BUT THAT THEY ARE ILLEGALLY WIRETAPPING AND DOING OTHER SURVILLENCE TO SEE WHERE THE RESISTANCE IS AT! FACT!< WE MUST DEFEND OUR PRECIOUS FREEDOMS AND CONSTITUTION AND PRIVACY, PERIOD! They just want to know what the opposition is up to is all! Fact!>

"Sheeple"

911truther, please don't take this the wrong way, your passion is to be commended, and I too am fully aware of the many things about the system which are not working and the ways the American people are and have been manipulated. But referring to those Americans who are "still on auto-cruise" as it were, as 'stupid sheeple' is, well, not constructive. People are waking up in this country in droves, and it's happening because people are gradually becoming interested in these issues that Dr. Paul talks about, and seeing the connect between those realities and their own lot in life. We need to reach out to everyone, one of the secrets to Ron Paul's success IMO is he understands the importance of inclusiveness, and never denigrates anyone. (Forgive me for sounding "preachy", all the best to you.)

well said, Rewind

No American citizen has yet challenged IMBRA. Too much apathy

You can Google IMBRA and rights or any other search term. You can go to www.veteransabroad.com. The law blocks contact between Americans and foreigners on dating sites whose primary business is introducing Americans to foreigners. These are deceptively called "marriage brokers" in order to make them sound sinister (the deceptive use of naming language is how most laws are passed without debate)

A policy wonk in Washington who works for www.epic.org told me the other day the following:

"Foreigners have no rights as far as the Supreme Court is concerned. Therefore, it is Constitutional to force foreign women to sign approval forms for American men to be allowed to talk with them."

He said it was "forced informed consent."

The coming court challenge will revolve around how the law takes away the rights of foreign women to decide their own level of security (paranoia) in terms of giving out contact information,

The American male's Right of Assembly are a joke. The radical feminists completely control all 4 branches of government which includes the Bar Association.

Great ad

I really liked this one. Although I eventually came to like the first one. He's catchin' on, I'm tellin' ya.

Drain the swamp!

Perfect Ad...simply perfect.

Perfect Ad...simply perfect. The first official ad that I'm adding to my facebook!

Really good ad... Better than #2!

Only things that would make it better (like with #2) would be to have a bit less of the "dark space" on the lower left, and perhaps to have the background graphic change slightly from the "We the People" to the "Bill of Rights" (I realize that, like the "body" text of the Constitution, the text of the bill of rights wouldn't be readable onscreen, but similar to the large "We the People" text, a "parchment-like" piece could be made that with large script-type that said "Bill of Rights" across the top).

Also, having even one "transition" to the background graphic would make it a bit more visually "interesting" -- Dunno what others think, but with TV ads one grows used to "motion" of some type, and thus I find the fact that it DOESN'T change to be more distracting than if it DID change.

Still, this is good ad -- short, sweet and to the point. Should help to differentiate him from the other candidates pretty clearly.

I think there's a lot of

I think there's a lot of potential for anything that is different than the usual tv ads, even if it's in a negative way. If people are used to motion, then the lack of it will stand out. The first ad was so horrible that it would get attention for being so incredibly campy and bad. With people being so saturated with tv advertising anything that stands out is a good thing. It's the same principle as no publicity is bad publicity.

Of course using that 30 second iPod inspired spot would still be preferable. Standing out for being incredibly good is the way to go, but only if you really know you can pull it off. If you produce something only slightly better than average on production quality and inventiveness, that would probably be the least effective. Until RP gets a multi-million dollar marketing firm, he should probably go for the so bad it's good angle.

Why don't they use supporter produced ads?

Is there any reason why they don't use the apple inspired ad or the ad with the RP mural of supporter faces? Or they could edit down the popular Hope montage video. Seems like it would save money on production. Overall, I trust the campaign and the message to be effective!

yep, ad #3 is spankin'

I agree with you in every way. If they want to get us totally fired up, tweak it up a notch or two and make it really sizzle, but that's just a cherry on top. These second and 3rd ads are just fine and I'm happy to go to war with these 2 ads as my air support. :-)

Ad #1... ehhh, no need to reopen that, I hope.
