Today was one heck of a day

Hi there fellow DPers, been a while since I posted. I went to work, but my boss left halfway through my time there. So most of the work was done, one of my friends comes in, we get to talkin', and the subject comes around to politics. He said he was voting for Obama, I said who I voted for, the poor guy didn't even know who Ron Paul was, so I showed him a clip of Ron Paul refuting Obama's change motif, along with a couple of clips from the debates, and that began the awakening process in him. We talked for at least two hours about the current way things are, etc...and now he wants to do a lot of research, he wants to know more..

Its all about winning hearts and minds people.

i asked them to find me any successful historic example of central economic planning and i would thereafter reconsider my position with regard to government intervention in free markets..

now is a great opportunity to introduce people to hayek, mises, rothbard, and paul, etc.. they are looking for answers that only the austrian school can provide..

I had a conversation with a woman today

I thought to myself this country is screwed . I told her I was a Ron Paul supporter who is now voting for Ralph Nader and she looked at me like she had no idea what I was talking about.

And that clip really hit home, he could feel that Paul was telling the truth. :-) The other two clips were of Paul talking about the blowback, and where he refuted John McCain on foreign policy. :p
