I sent email and fax. I called the Senators' Washington offices with the following script to tell the Congressional aides who do not hang up on me early (try again if they hang you up - this rude manner is a disservice to resident-citizens):
""Hello, My name is [name] from [hometown]. I urge Senator [name] to vote NAY on the particular bill that contain the provision for providing 700 billion dollars.
The bailout is pure economic fascism. Why must their profits privatized when they make millions speculating in Wall Street and our losses socialized when they make malinvestment decisions? This is the opposite of Adam Smith's economic law and Alexander Hamilton himself would object to this irresponsible behavior.
Please pass the word to Senator [name] to vote NAY. We will be watching his action. If he casts YEA, we will see to it his name will be publicized when the election comes in 2012." [Be sure to check whether your senator will be up for election this year, that should scare them]
"SPAM" your Senators to stop the bailout!
