***LIST OF COMPANIES SUPPORTING BAILOUT*** ACTION ITEM
Submitted by The_Producer on Wed, 10/01/2008 - 13:13
Ladies and Gentleman,
Here's a list of the companies and organizations that are lobbying in support of the bailout. Please email, call, and fax any or all, especially if you have relationships with them.
http://libertarian.meetup.com/364/files/
One thing you can do if you are affiliated with them is to threaten to withdraw membership, do whatever it takes to indicated your displeasure with their leveraging their stocks against our childrens future.
You wouldn't borrow several thousands of dollars in your kids names to make up for your losses in the stock market would you?
Tell them you're unhappy.

How come this list does not include the ACTUAL companies?
Such as Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley?
Those are both Obama's and McCains greatest contributors! Along with all the other major financial institutions!
This list is almost deceptive, because it only lists organizations rather than the actual companies doing the damage and directly giving the politicians the money.
In other words, it's almost like a distraction.

Add Citigroup to that list
An "inside" source told me that Citigroup employees are being asked to call their respective representatives urging them to PASS the economic relief bill (or whatever their calling it these days)...
I heard the same. DC is
I heard the same. DC is getting lobbied hard and heavy today. The special interests choppered in a couple of days ago when the bill went down.
They are trying to everyone here in DC into passing this thing, Repubs and Dems are trying to make up all these scenarios about how it's already hurting main street. They either dont know that its inevitable or they don't care. Either way, we cant' count on our leaders, we can only count on each other.
If you know people or are affiliated with these companies, then hammer em!!

Austin, where did this list come from?
I'm inclined to believe the list is accurate (I've spotted one org on it which I was told Monday night had supported this), but due diligence requires that the question be mooted.

I am unable to release the origination of this list. However, I can say that this was given to me as a positive thing, like I would be swayed to support the bill if I saw who supported it.
Please take this on good faith and my credibility.

hmmm
That's fine and all, but won't suffice beyond those of us who know you (and I don't *really* know you, myself, other than recognizing your name).
Perhaps we can use it like a treasure map, indicating "where to dig" to find companies which are in support. A phone call or other effort from someone here could verify, and the verification could be posted here. I'll start by linking an essay showing that "Americans for Prosperity" has shown its true colors by calling, instead of for a decentralization of power, for more cleverness in central planning and usage of national tax policy to accomplish people- and market-control goals. Prior to this, I had been involved with them locally, but this is a deal-breaker for me.

DUKE ENERGY
The woman who took my call asked me what I would ask Congress to do and I could hear her typing as I told her about Pres. Kennedy's exec. order, auditing the Federal Reserve, letting the debts liquidate, and getting the government out of the market completely.
?
What do you mean Kennedy's exec. order?
Here you go
This order has never been repealed.
On June 4, 1963, a little known attempt was made to strip the Federal Reserve Bank of its power to loan money to the government at interest. On that day President John F. Kennedy signed Executive Order No. 11110 that returned to the U.S. government the power to issue currency, without going through the Federal Reserve. Mr. Kennedy's order gave the Treasury the power "to issue silver certificates against any silver bullion, silver, or standard silver dollars in the Treasury." This meant that for every ounce of silver in the U.S. Treasury's vault, the government could introduce new money into circulation. In all, Kennedy brought nearly $4.3 billion in U.S. notes into circulation. The ramifications of this bill are enormous.
With the stroke of a pen, Mr. Kennedy was on his way to putting the Federal Reserve Bank of New York out of business. If enough of these silver certificates were to come into circulation they would have eliminated the demand for Federal Reserve notes. This is because the silver certificates are backed by silver and the Federal Reserve notes are not backed by anything. Executive Order 11110 could have prevented the national debt from reaching its current level, because it would have given the government the ability to repay its debt without going to the Federal Reserve and being charged interest in order to create the new money. Executive Order 11110 gave the U.S. the ability to create its own money backed by silver.
And then..
some lone gunman (sarcasm) shot the President...coincidence?..I think not.
And Americans bought it
hook, line and sinker and many still do.
One other point, how many Americans knew then or even know today what Kennedy was planning on doing to the Fed?
Maybe if they did. they might be able to put 2 and 2 together and finally wake from their very deep sleep?
But with most Americans thinking it's part of the Federal government I wouldn't bank (pun intended) on them waking anytime soon..
?
Did I see Moron Industries on the list?
