Urgent: Alameda County CA Ron Paul Republicans Battling Spurious Law Suit

Hello Friends,

First I'd like to thank "linusPauling" for all the support! My name is Walter, I'm a Constitutional Republican, and I'm also one of the defendants in the lawsuit!

I'm a huge Ron Paul supporter, and I've been very encouraged by what I've seen from my fellow revolutionaries out there that are committed to the cause of liberty!

After the presidential primary I was a bit discouraged by the results. I wasn't prepared to throw in the towel though! I wanted to continue the grass-roots movement in my local area, and it was never an option to give-up. So, we organized a group of like-minded individuals to run for the Alameda Co Republican Central Committtee. For those of you who haven't heard of a Central Committee... it's the grass-roots arm of the Republican Party at the local-level. Right now, these Central Committees' are filled with a bunch of party-lap-dog-yes-men! Many of these so-called Republicans use their position on the Central Committee for the title, as opposed to working to return the party to it's historical roots!

We ran 21 Constitutional Republicans in the June 3rd Primary election, and won 12 seats on the 30 member Central Committee. From what I hear, wining 12 seats didn't sit very well with the Committee Chairman, and the other R.I.N.O.s within the Party, once they found out that we were all Ron Paul supporters.

To make a very long story as short as possible... After the election, and also after the statute of limitations had expired regarding contesting Primary elections, the Chairman (Paul Cummings) filed a lawsuit to attempt to remove us from our elected seats on the Central Committee. The Chairman and self-proclaimed, "liberal-Republican" that doesn't support our platform told us that if we decided not to contest the lawsuit in court, he would not sue us for attorney fees and court costs. This was, without a doubt, his attempt to send our group of Constitutional Republicans running for cover, however it didn't work-out the way the Chairman planned! Now, we are more committed than ever!

We have been battling back and forth through the court. Recently, I filed an "Application for a Temporary Injunction Order Against the Chairman and the Central Committee" with the court. My intentions were to 1)restrain the Chairman from calling the Biennial Organizational Meeting (in accordinance with the Central Committee ByLaws), and attempting to remove our contested members before the lawsuit is settled...2) restrain the Chairman from appointing new members to fill our vacancies...3) And finally, to restrain the Chairman and the Central Committee from conducting party business without a valid quorum, which they have been doing in violation of their own Bylaws!

On the surface it may seem like a battle lost, since the court denied my "Application," but this is simply not the case. We were able to have the Election Code clairified, and it has been pointed out that the Chairman can not call the Biennial Organizational Meeting, or attempt to fill any of our contested seats before the lawsuit is settled. So, this was actually a win for us, because our seats are protected.

As of now, our trial is set for November 12th! We feel that we have a good chance in wining the lawsuit. You can keep up with the latest at our website:

Well, they registered the web site long before they realized they'd be caught up in a law suit, and requiring a chipin.

I'm not sure why they registered private, but upon googling the topic, I think I'd register privately as well to keep personal contact information, including phone numbers, private.
