why this woman doesn't just revert to being honest. Instead of trying to wing it on the financial bailout the other day, she could have easily just said, "you know I have not been briefed on what is in this bill since I am not a member of Congress, but I think ......" Or this nonsense on the newspapers. My answer would have been that I read many many papers, but all online...That in the 21st century you can live anywhere and read news from all over the world. Then I would have proceeded to name a few. Instead she is under so much pressure that she assumed that Couric was implying that they didn't have newspapers in Alaska, and proceeded to go way off track. They are just driving this woman to distraction by grilling her and trying to prepare her for every possible question and it is just messing her up royally. I don't like her politics, but I sure hate to see these elitist snobs "have their way" with her. There is a perfectly good reason that someone who is not a "Washington insider" might not know everything about everything. THAT is why one can have "advisors".

Sure she can name a paper, she can name a bunch. That's the point she was making; her office gets a stack delivered to it everyday -- and she's probably very selective about what she reads. By the same token I don't read "a" daily newspaper -- I read widely for my information -- and the best information usually doesn't come from a newspaper!

Don't worry -- I ain't voting for them -- but you're making a straw man argument -- you'd better get to some real issues for the cause rather than wasting our time with this silly attack.

Question to you legalizeliberty: Did you first learn about Dr. Paul from a daily newspaper? Where did you learn the most about Ron Paul? Name it!
I'll bet you the beer that I just won from you that it wasn't from the MSM.

When someone says "I read them all" I think they mean they read a diverse bunch of them. "What music do you listen to?" "Everything. All of it." Do people really think she couldn't name a newspaper or magazine? Katie Couric was trying to get her to say "NYT, Newsweek, Time" so she could be comforted that Palin is tapped into the propaganda machine that emanates from New York. The question was pretty condescending and Palin told her off, saying that when you live in Alaska it doesn't mean you are completely isolated.

This is Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, and the media are acting like a pack of wolves, just like in the movie. She isn't establishment hence she must be destroyed. Watch the movie if you want to see how it works.
