At least the Nazi's had some fashion sense with their SS snazy black uniforms; I'm afraid we won't see such asthetics this time around. Obama is more of a Rainbow color kinda guy, he is "multicultural" after all. Mandatory volunteer work -- only a totalitarian could come up with an idea like that. Fascism under rainbows or death-heads is all the same sheet of music to me.

He didn't call for a return to the draft in that speech.

that is very, very similar to Bush's TIPP program and -- Hitler Youth??? The operative phrase is "CIVILIAN NATIONAL SECURITY FORCE" -- the students would be at first "bribed" into participating.

OBAMA SAYS:

his "ask not what your country can do for you " crap should have been limited to homeless shelters, soup kitchens, YMCA, YWCA & Boys & Girls clubs. Right now is NOT the time in our nation's history to sign on with the military- I agree- but by offering that as a noble persuit was meant to be seen as honoring the troops currently serving. He would have taken heat if he would have said "Do anything for your fellow Americans BUT join the service". Mom & dad would likely feel like their son or daughters tour was seen as impugned. Theres PLENTY to dislike Obama about- I just think we need to pick the ones that'll stick is all.
