Should Ron be in Iowa and NH more?
Submitted by Voltmoie on Fri, 11/09/2007 - 11:52
Something bothered me about Dr. Paul's interview with Wolfe the other day - he said he was going to sit back and watch the movment grow. Now I know Dr. Paul is not lazy - he is still fullfilling his congressional duties while running for the Presidency - he rocks! ... however it's time to start stumping in Iowa, NH, and SC! I want to see those event calendars filled with dates, times, and locations of where Dr. Paul will be. The internet and our donations alone won't get you there Dr. Paul - It's time to shake hands and kiss babies! Spread the message of liberty because the reach of your supporters only goes so far!

Lazy? Excuse me?
What makes you think he's not doing everything he can where it'll be the most effective? Because he says he's going to sit back and watch the movement grow? Did you think he meant it literally that he was going to sit back and take it easy? There are what, 3-5 important early states he needs to campaign heavily in, and guess what, he IS. Just because you see him in LA on Leno, and coming up in Philadelphia, doesn't mean he's not hitting NH and Iowa as much as he can. He's also finding time in his schedule to make it back to DC for his day job.
I thoought this was behind
I thoought this was behind us???

This is quickly becoming a national conservation area with all of these signs going up. "Don't feed the bears", "Don't walk on the grass", "Don't desecrate the constitution". If this is this what liberty is about, I may as well just go back to being a catholic.
Censorship?
Voltmoie, you will notice that I did not alter anything in your post, I only changed the title. The reason I changed the title is because I don't want that on the front page of my website. As the owner of this site, that is my right.
You are no better than Sean
You are no better than Sean Hannity.
Name calling is so
Name calling is so unnecessary. The bottom-line is that your title was a poor title (let's put it that way), and as the owner of this site Nystrom has 100% authority to do what he wants with any part of the site. If you don't like it, find another site. It's a free-internet.
Please stop complaining
Please stop complaining about the MSM, polls, and Sean Hannity then if you take that position. They are well within their rights to ignore RP and should even be able to change the outcome of polls and the message if they wish.... if we follow your fools logic.
The right to discriminate
Voltmoie,
First, let me congratulate you on picking a more appropriate title. Not perfect, but better.
Second, you are correct that the MSM and Sean Hannity are certainly within their rights to ignore Ron Paul. It is their station, their money, etc. They have the right to discriminate however they see fit. Their news organizations are private, for-profit enterprises.
Ignoring is one thing. Changing the results of polls, or misrepresenting messages is something else entirely. It would be wrong, and furthermore illegal to pass that off as real news, though no doubt they get away with it. To Fox's credit, they are not manipulating text polls, as Ron Paul is usually the runaway winner.
However, it is also within our rights to complain about how they cover the news. That is what free speech is about. But, Hannity, Red-State, Fox News or whoever doesn't have to host the complaints. If we have complaints, we can set up our own sites, go to alternate sources of news, etc.
But in a free society, private owners do have the right to say how their private property is used. That is the essence of Ron Paul's message of freedom.
I hope that clarifies the logic for you.
Welcome aboard!
Michael
Yes
Owner and operator gets final say on matters such as this. I agree with Mr. Nystrom in his altering of the title. This is his site and if you don't appreciate offensive and foolish post titles being changed, you can pull up a chair at some other site (by foolish, I mean FREAKING IDIOTIC, Ron Paul is working his darn arse off!! Come on now!! Anyone with any sense can see that)
Again, the owner/editor has final say. Like he said, he didn't change your post, simply the title, which is bannered across a key place in the site when posts are made.
Come on now folks!!

Doing his job
I would rather see the candidates that already hold elected office earning their paycheck instead of "applying" for another job on my dime. RP is doing just fine and his campaign is debt free, unlike others who are chasing around and buying votes.
Idiot
Whoever started this string is a complete idiot.
Sure keep it open
There is a snowball rolling down a hill right now....No web postings are going to get in the way of RP's message. He's talking to the people every day.
Radio, television. It's brilliant. Can you imagine one of the other candidates having a conversation with financial traders? I crack up thinking about it.
It's spreading like wild fire, person to person, slim jim by slim jim....
oh, to answer the question:
He's not lazy, he's highly efficient.

Voltmoie Changed Title Back
Votmoire - you are entitled to say what you wish, but I am the Editor of this site. Everyone hates your title. I've already changed it once.
As Editor, I have the final say over what goes on the front page. Take it or leave it.
I think we should be civil
I think we should be civil to each other and stop fearing new comers will get put off by our energetic interchange. I personally think the viewers of this forum has various exposure to RP and obviously different temperament, knowledge and diversity, overall.
That's great. We knew this and expected it. I vote to keep the forum open. Anyone who is so weak minded as to be put off by minor (and even serious) questions should re-examine their own conviction for supporting RP.
On the otherhand, this is like a huge virtual meetup where people can and should ask each other probing questions.
Let cool heads prevail.
Isn't Thompson supposed to be the lazy one?
Anyways, looking composed and relaxed is a sign of being in control. When you run around all frantic with your head falling off, you may give the impression of looking busy but everyone else knows you are just not able to handle the pressure or you're covering something up.
Just look around your office and you can pick the frantic chicken heads out by sight.
Schedule
My Dad is doing as much as he can. He spent all day yesterday voting and doing interviews and then left for NH. Sometimes he doesn't even stop for lunch. The schedule is changing on an hourly basis sometimes and they can't get the schedule out to everybody. My Dad is not lazy. My family rarely gets to see him and I am lucky to get to talk to him. We all know these early states are important and my Dad will do his best to be there.
Robert Paul
Ron's lazy
Yes, he's very disappointing. He only works 23 hours a day for the people of this country.......terrible. lol
Robert, I would love him just one time to answer the standard question of: "Will you support another GOP candidate if you don't get the nod?"
Answer: "I don't plan on losing as the people of this country cannot afford it, so that should not be a concern."
Thanks for what you and, especially, your dad do......he is truly Hope for America.

Robert - thanks for your
Robert - thanks for your comments. Dr. Paul is the light in the dark sky of our country. My intention was not to call your father lazy but simply to point out I'd like to see him stumping in Iowa and NH more. Many of us have put the faith in Dr. Paul to be the next great leader of our nation – fair or not .
I'll change the title out of respect to you and your family... but not due to the vocal majority of free speech haters.
re: Schedule
I just wanted to say how much I apprecate all the effort you father is putting into this and what a breath of fresh air it is to have someone in politics who's voting record backs up what he says. Your father is truely a honest caring man. I had a chance to meet him at the 2nd admendment foundation event in Ft. Mitchell Kentucky recently and for the first time in my life I met someone and was completely speechless. all I could do was shake his hand and ask for a photo op. Dr. Paul is an amazing man and you are lucky to have him in your family. God Bless and keep up the good work!
Ben
We Appreciate your Dad
We appreciate your Dad so much. None of us think what this man thinks. I posted my thoughts.
By the way, your family is in my prayers every day because I know this is a very difficult thing for all of you. You also need some Angels watching over you, too! ;0)

Schedule
Here! Here! Good for you. I watch Dr. Paul everywhere I can. On the news and videos. I couldn't imagine trying to keep up with him. (and I'm a lot younger). Bless his heart.
Thank you Robert
Dear Robert,
I am so sorry about the title of this thread. I do not have control over what others write, and we all know that your father is not lazy.
I changed the title once, and Voltmoie has changed it back again. Don't ask me why.
I have had the good fortune to meet your father and I know how hard he works, and the sacrifice your entire family is making.
Best regards,
Michael Nystrom
And we genuinely appreciate Dr. Paul efforts!!!
As supporters we want to see the candidate and be inspired by him! If he is in our neck of the woods it would be great to show him how much we appreciate what he's doing and also take the opportunity to show others the passion we have for Dr. Paul

I hear where your coming from! We need the schedule!
So we can prepare...I know, I've been looking on the site everyday for where is he going next!
I know Dr. Paul is hustling the other day he was in Il and NH then the next day he was beating on Berneke. Not to mention all the interviews...if you noticed, when he's being interviewed it's always in or near the airport!

The man is 72 years old; you
The man is 72 years old; you can't expect him to rush like running-back through all those states. He's doing the right thing at what I truly believe is the right pace. He's constantly stressing that what's ahead of him is the message, which people of all sociocultural backgrounds are embracing and openly defending. I consider that the attention given by the media in this last few days have been a hundred times better than ever. This campaign is one of low-level work; we all need to commit ourselves to this cause and go spread the message as much as our respective circumstances permit us.
Collectivism is slavery.
He does move like a running back
You would never know he is 72. There are reports all over the net from people much younger than he is who had trouble keeping up with him just on his short visits to their cities.

He changed the title back again.
Look, you have had this explained to you before. What is the problem? Everyone should stop posting to this thread and let it die. Think about what a new person coming to this site will think when reading those words.

I don't agree...
I was at the Orlando "Paulapalooza", the rally held for the October Orlando presidential debate. Paul spent the whole day meeting and greeting supporters. Then he debated for an hour and a half, then did the "spin-room", and then at 11:00 PM he drove 20 miles to the site of our rally, gave a passionate 25 minute speech, and then spent another half hour shaking hands and signing autographs. This guy has more energy the the energizer bunny.
